Today we’d like to introduce you to Shonn Tew

Hi Shonn, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hi, I’m Shonn Tew, a registered nurse with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s in Business Administration. My journey in the medical field began in 1997 when I started working in Labor and Delivery for over 11 years. Eventually, I transitioned into medical device sales, which gave me a broader perspective on the aesthetics industry. It was during this time that I was approached by a local medical spa to begin performing Botox treatments and other aesthetic procedures—and I immediately fell in love with the field.

I have now been an aesthetic RN for nearly 17 years, mastering all brands of neurotoxins, dermal fillers, laser treatments, PRP injections for hair and facial rejuvenation, and PDO threads for facial lifting. My experience has also involved launching and assisting in the growth of several medical spas, ensuring quality treatments and exceptional patient care. Now, I am proud to be part of Rewind Time Anti-Aging & Aesthetics (www.werewindtime.com), where I get to bring my skills to an innovative practice dedicated to helping patients look and feel their best.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
For the most part, my journey has been fulfilling and rewarding. However, challenges have come from working at different facilities that either closed due to market struggles or didn’t align with my values in terms of patient care and business ethics. That’s why finding Rewind Time Anti-Aging & Aesthetics was such a game-changer for me—I finally feel valued and appreciated in a place that shares my commitment to excellence in aesthetics.

My career has been an exciting journey filled with opportunities to grow and evolve. While I’ve worked at various facilities, each experience has been a stepping stone, leading me to where I am today. I’ve learned the importance of working with a team that shares my values, and that’s exactly what I found at Rewind Time Anti-Aging & Aesthetics. Here, I get to focus on what I love—helping patients look and feel their best—while being part of a practice that truly appreciates my expertise and dedication.

Aesthetic nursing is truly an artistic field. Every patient has unique needs, and there’s no “one-size-fits-all” approach when it comes to enhancing natural beauty. I specialize in a wide range of treatments, including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, PRP for hair and skin rejuvenation, and PDO threading. I take pride in my ability to provide a gentle touch, a skill my patients often highlight in their feedback.
