Beyond music, he is the creator of the *Dotte-Lander* series, founder of the **KCK Vanguard Awards**, and a champion for youth development through educational programs, leadership initiatives, and community events.

As an entrepreneur, Suggs believes in building ownership, creating opportunities, and empowering independent artists through direct-to-fan business models. I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
very challenging in a small market, that is filled with gatekeepers

Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
am a recording artist, songwriter, entrepreneur, community leader, and creative visionary who believes that art should inspire people to think, grow, and discover their purpose. Performing under the name VigaTruth, I create music that blends storytelling, soul, hip-hop, and positive messages centered on faith, perseverance, self-awareness, and personal transformation.

Beyond music, I am the founder of Truth Apparel LLC and F.B.O.E. (Fringe Benefits of Education), an organization dedicated to empowering students and the community through leadership development, educational discussions, mentorship, networking, and community service. I also created the KCK Vanguard Awards, an annual event that honors the unsung heroes who make a lasting impact throughout Kansas City.

One of my most ambitious creative projects is Dotte-Lander, an original multimedia series that combines music, film, storytelling, and life lessons into an inspiring universe designed to entertain while encouraging personal growth and critical thinking.

What I’m most proud of is using my creativity to serve others. Whether I’m writing songs, organizing community events, mentoring students, launching businesses, or developing new creative projects, my goal remains the same: to leave people better than I found them.

What sets me apart is that I don’t separate creativity from purpose. Every song, event, business venture, and community initiative is connected by one mission—to inspire people to become the best version of themselves, think independently, and turn their dreams into reality through faith, discipline, and action.

We’d love to hear about how you think about risk taking?
I’ve always considered myself a risk-taker. Throughout my career, I’ve often stood alone with ideas that many people didn’t understand or weren’t willing to try. There were times when I invested entire paychecks into projects without knowing whether they would succeed. I wasn’t guaranteed a return—I simply believed in the vision and was willing to bet on myself.

One of those visions was bringing a program to a college campus that would give students a place where they felt seen, heard, and supported. I recognized that many students weren’t just struggling academically—they were carrying the weight of life, often feeling like they had no one they could truly count on. Sometimes the most valuable thing you can offer someone isn’t money or advice; it’s understanding.

That mission is personal to me because I know what it feels like to lack that kind of support. Growing up, I often wished I had someone who truly understood what I was going through. Instead of allowing that experience to define me, I made a promise to myself: I would become the person I needed when I was younger. That promise became the foundation for my music, my businesses, my community work, and everything I create.
