Today we’d like to introduce you to Morgan Pagel.
Hi Morgan, can you start by introducing yourself? We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today?
My name is Morgan Pagel, I am originally from Green Bay, WI, but came to Missouri for college and have been here ever since!
I currently work as a Digital Strategist at Morgan Industrial Technology. Morgan Industrial Technology is an orbital welding company in Ozark, Missouri. My role consists of managing the social media account, and helping customers with all of their equipment needs through various sales efforts.
I have thoroughly enjoyed being a part of the manufacturing industry. I think it is very interesting to learn about how things are made, and who the people are who make them. It is very exciting and fulfilling work, and I am thankful to be a part of this organization and leadership.
I also started my own podcast in 2022. I felt God putting it on my heart, and decided to just go for it. The premise of the podcast is to interview people with remarkable stories that I meet in day-to-day life. I kept being encouraged by the resiliency of people’s stories and felt like they would have a strong impact on others as well. There was a season of my life where I battled anxiety, a puking problem, and toxic relationships. God was doing a work in my heart and my life, and the podcast has honestly been with me in every step of the way. I am so thankful for the opportunity to be a catalyst for hope, and for all of my amazing listeners that have listened to the journey throughout the years. For the podcast, I find the guests, interview them, record it, film it, and edit it all on my own. This past year I felt the Lord tell me to convert my podcast to a fully faith based podcast. We have launched podcast merch and Christian merch. I love the creative and design process, and I love playing a role in creating fashionable merch that promotes hope.
This past year I hosted my third annual podcast party. The event consisted of a live podcast show, local custom clothes vendors, and we ended the night with worship with a live band. I have already started dreaming and strategizing what this next year’s event will look like. I am looking to add more vendors to the market and collaborate with Christian musical artists.
I also have my own freelance social media business called Kash Kreative. This is where people can contract me for social media projects and event interviewing. I love sports and interviewing people and I have been blessed to have been a part of events like the Bass Pro Tournament of Champions.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
This is honestly a great question!
I feel very blessed knowing that God is with me in every step of the way.
I have definitely had some funny learning moments. There have been moments where I forgot a key piece of my recording equipment seconds before the interview episode began. In the early days I was so new to editing that I faced so many challenges of making sure the audio saved, or having to restart the episode when it came to my podcast. I now have a deep appreciation for lighting, background, and audio levels.
I would say my most recent challenges have been navigating where to dedicate my time to, and understanding that you cannot be most effective if you say yes to everything. I want to be most successful and effective in the positions and opportunities that I am called to be in. As someone who struggles with the fear of missing out, it has been an adjustment to navigate where to dedicate my time and energy to.
Thanks – so what else should our readers know about your work and what you’re currently focused on?
I would definitely say I am known as the podcast host of the christian lifestyle podcast in Springfield, Missouri. I specialize in episodes that are faith based, but have topics that cover a wide spectrum.
We have done episodes that involve elite athletes, testimonies that discuss overcoming drug addiction, healing from emotional and physical abuse, career advice, fashion, film directors, and fashion creators. The reality is there is a lot in life that interests me. I do not want to put myself in a box, and I do not want my podcast to be in one specific niche. Having a faith based podcast has each episode under the same worldview, yet every episode brings something different and reaches a different audience.
The podcast is known as a brand that emphasizes having fun. If you look through our different merch selections or episodes, you will notice that it is very streetwear focused. The majority of the models in our different photoshoots are my friends. This is intentional. I want the brand to be something that you love to listen to, you are proud to represent the merch, and you would want to share with a friend.
I am honestly most proud of leading my most recent podcast party. I had three people come up to me afterward that thanked me for putting on the event. They said they had never seen the creative scene and the gospel meshed together. All three of them have started pursuing the Lord since the event. Sometimes we feel like our hard work and efforts don’t have a big impact because we haven’t gone viral. You don’t need to go viral to influence, impact, and change someone’s life.
My podcast is not only a platform to speak truth, discuss my life and interview guests, it truly is a lifestyle brand. I believe this is what sets me a part. I have a lot of dreams and ideas that goes beyond Apple and Spotify.
How do you define success?
I define success as building the kingdom for Christ.
As an entrepreneur it can be hard to try to always measure your success in metrics, fame, money, and popularity. In reality, I have come to terms knowing that if I obeyed what Christ asked me to do, I am most successful.
Providing people a platform that focuses on hope and life, and providing a streetwear clothing brand that offers fashion and truth makes me extremely proud.
I am creating outlets that 16-year old me would have loved and learned from.
People reach out to me and tell me the episodes encourage them, and they listen to it the minute it drops. I have listeners from all age groups, and honestly I am just grateful for the opportunity to utilize the talents and skills God gave me.
