Hi Linda, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I transitioned from Carr Assessments (a family business) and founded its sister company, Hiring Indicators. The intention was to provide an affordable, reliable, and easy-to-use assessment application, Reveal, which measures job fit enabling companies to bring science into their hiring decisions.
I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle-free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The biggest challenge that our business faced was the Covid-19 pandemic. We support HR/Talent Management teams within a business. All of a sudden those teams were pulled away to immediately address the pandemic: Social distancing, masks, remote workers, government policies, mandates, etc.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I’d like to think that I see the “Big Picture” and my talent is to collaborate with people who can make it happen. Before transitioning to Hiring Indicators, our team sat in a think tank, discussing the current system, enhancements needed/wanted, and post-it’s all over glass walls, From those sessions an SOW was created and funding raised.
I surrounded myself with the most amazing people, who have all contributed to Hiring Indicators, and without them, this company would not be where it is today. I am so proud of them and their support!!!
