Emerson, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I started my business, Painted By Emmy, In April of this year, however I didn’t start taking clients until June. I have always loved anything that revolves around art, and having nails always just made me feel put together, so I combined both world together! Having a tangible product that you can wear on your hands is seriously one of the coolest things you can do (ask my clients!)
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Throughout the months, having to balance school, work, life, and a small business is definitely not an easy task. However, I have such a supportive group of family and friends who help me along the way, like my mom who does all of the shipping for me!
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
I am a press on nail artist who specializes in abstract designs! A solid color set is always a good break in the mix, but I can never turn down a freestyle or complex set! No two sets are ever the same, which makes the job that much more fun! I am most proud of my creativity and talents because I am capable of looking at an inspiration picture and recreating it, but also designing my own sets! What sets me apart from others is my range of designs while still keeping my prices under $30 per set.
We all have a different way of looking at and defining success. How do you define success?
Success to me is how happy something makes me, which is why I do what I do! Having a certain amount of followers or clients is only a small part of what keeps me going. Truly, the art and creativity I get to share with the world makes all of it feel successful!
