Life & Work with Cait Fore of Overland Park

Today we’d like to introduce you to Cait Fore.

Cait Fore

Hi Cait, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
In high school I was OBSESSED with “Trading Spaces” and interior design in general, and luckily I got to work for a local Architectural company under one of their in house interior designers who showed me the ropes as it came to Commercial designs. I learned quickly that this was not neccesarily my jam and I also began to work at a local upscale Women’s boutique where I learned the art of connection, self-esteem, and how clothes can make one feel. So, I went off to college at Oklahoma State University and studied Apparel Merchandising (in hopes to one day own my own boutique) and also Minored in Studio Art. I grew up going to Art camps and taking extra classes from my teacher in Middle School. And was the first Freshman to ever be allowed to take Art at my high school.. During college I primarily worked in fashion and interned in LA with BCBG and LOVED working for a company on the pulse of fashion. I still loved interiors and art. But, it was the recession and so I focused on getting a job and retail called me. I worked everywhere and finally went out on my own in 2014 as a stylist and blogger. It’s been an amazing ride and now it has all culminated under one umbrella, Cait Fore. I am an abstract and gold leaf artist, wardrobe stylist, and interior stylist and love wearing all these hats to help my clients bring their best lives to reality.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Has anyone’s journey been smooth? I hope not. Where’s the fun in that? I did what I thought I was supposed to do for the first half of my career. Working for other people and learning the ins and outs of running a business in all aspects. I got to manage people, write schedules, work with customers, teach my staff how to sell, about accounts receivable and payable and how important customer service and branding is to truly have a remarkable business. I’ve been fired a few times and I’m so grateful, in hind sight of course. Because as cheesy as it is, I was in toxic work environments that I wasn’t aware of just how bad it was, until I was gone, And bigger, better, and more aligned work always finds it’s way too me.

Appreciate you sharing that. What else should we know about what you do?
I’m a powerhouse of creativity and style, with over 20 years of experience in fashion, wardrobe styling, and interior design. Whether I’m curating a wardrobe that
empowers individuals to step confidently into their world or designing stunning spaces
that bring a brand’s mission to life, I thrive on helping people express their best
selves—inside and out. Think of me as the creative director of your life—where every
detail matters and every project becomes a masterpiece.
As the creative force behind Cait Fore, has led over 100+ photo and video shoots
for Hallmark, establishing myself as a sought-after expert in set, wardrobe, and prop
styling. My eye for detail and ability to connect with clients personally has made me a
go-to for individuals and businesses looking to amplify their presence through style.
My expertise extends beyond fashion; I’m a visionary in interior styling, having
successfully executed 14 Airbnb projects in just two months—delivering exceptional
results and glowing client praise. Whether it’s transforming an office space in record
time or helping clients rediscover their style, I approach every project with
passion, adaptability, and an uncanny ability to bring visions to life.
A natural leader and collaborator, my background includes over a decade of active
involvement with the Junior League of Kansas City, where I’ve co-chaired
fundraisers, spearheaded marketing campaigns, and served as Director of Fund
Development. My commitment to community and connection is at the heart of
everything I do.
Beyond my work, I believe everyone deserves to live a beautiful life—whether
through the clothes they wear, the spaces they inhabit, or the art they create. My
boundless energy, authenticity, and knack for making others feel empowered sets myself
apart. Clients don’t just work with me—they embark on a transformative journey of self-
expression and confidence.

Can you talk to us about how you think about risk?
I’m rebellious thinker and constantly questioning that status quo. But, I spent most of my young life studying others and trying to understand how others would always find the same trends, knew what was “cool” vs. what wasn’t. I always wanted to know how people knew who they were and had confidence in those knowings. And through the “risks” of learning and studying and trying I got much better at noticing when I feel like I am in alignment with my values and the universe. And it’s always scary to go out and try something new because what if you fail? But, I always try to tell myself, “But what if you fly?” and it’s better than you could have ever imagined? So, if you’re able do IT. Don’t talk, just do. Do it authentically and the right people will always find you.
