Hi WOOFS play & stay, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
Woof’s Play & Stay started years ago with one location and a simple idea: dogs deserve a place where they can play, stay, and be cared for like family. As more pet parents began searching for a safe and fun place they could trust with their dogs, Woof’s quickly grew into something special.
Even as the company expanded, that original mission stayed the same creating a place where dogs can be dogs while owners feel confident their pets are in great hands.
For me, becoming part of Woof’s was an opportunity to bring that same level of care and trust to my own community. I wanted to help create a place where pet owners feel comfortable leaving their dogs and where every dog is treated with the same care and attention, we would give our own.
Our team is guided by a few core values: have fun, do the right thing, and keep going and growing. Working with dogs should be joyful, but it also requires responsibility and constant improvement. Those values help guide how we care for the dogs, support our team, and serve our clients every day.
Woof’s Play & Stay – Lee’s Summit is the newest chapter in that story. Locally owned and operated, the Lee’s Summit location was built to serve the growing pet community with daycare, boarding, and grooming in a safe, welcoming environment where every dog is treated like part of the pack.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Like most businesses, it hasn’t been a completely smooth road. Opening a new location comes with many moving parts from construction timelines to building the right team and systems to ensure every dog is cared for safely.
Being part of a locally owned brand like Woof’s Play & Stay has helped a lot. The support system and shared experience within the company have given us guidance whenever challenges come up.
With the new development at Discovery Park, there have naturally been a few construction setbacks along the way, but we’re excited to be part of that growth and proud to be one of the first new businesses opening in the area.
We’ve been impressed with Woofs play stay-Lees summit, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
At Woof’s Play & Stay, we’re all about more than dogs we’re about people too. We build strong relationships with our clients, their pets, and the local community, making sure every dog feels safe and happy while owners feel confident and cared for.
