Hi Todd and Beth, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?

Blume Co. Creations started as a passionate hobby and has since become a trusted source for custom signs and personalized gifts. Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It absolutely hasn’t been a smooth road, we are learning every step of the way. We started this as a side passion project and in 2024 both lost our corporate jobs due to downsizing, so it went from a side project to a full time business immediately. During this time Todd was also dealing with some health issues which was a struggle in itself. We did more craft shows starting out and have purchased and changed our booth designs at least a dozen times. We opened an online shop and utilized a company that continued to nickel and dime us on every turn and ended up canceling them and doing it ourselves.
We’ve been impressed with Blume Co. Creations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a very proud veteran owned business, we call ourselves a literal mom and pop shop because it’s mostly just the two of us. Everything we do is made right here in Lenexa KS, we don’t purchase kits from another country and just paint them. We laser cut, hand paint and hand assemble each and every sign or wall art piece. We love anything patriotic and probably specialize in that a little bit more, but we try to make sure that we have something for everyone. We tell people that we are the gift for the person that has everything because they don’t have a Blume Co sign. We also love helping people design their own creations and soon we will be holding classes at our Lenexa shop!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Beth is a Disney fanatic so hers will always be going to Disney World and her and her sister being the grand marshal in the parade and filming a tv commercial for a local station back here in KC.
Todd’s will always be spending time with his grandfather on his farm, growing up and looking up to him, watching him work and striving to be just like him as he got older.
