Hi Roderick, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
We started in The Funky Skunk back in 2016. The Funky Skunk is the only black-owned smoke shop and medical marijuana card clinic in the city. Building relationships with business owners, not only in our industry but business-minded people in general.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall, and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road but we have been successful at what we do. Being in a heavily regulated industry we have to adjust to new laws and regulations all the time.

We’ve been impressed with Funky Skunk, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We specialize in getting people legal for cannabis prescriptions.

What we want readers to know about our brand is that we are for the people! We are helping people who need this medicine in their everyday lives. We have gotten over 1 thousand people approved for their medical cannabis cards.
