Hi Precious, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I’ve always been ambitious, but my 9-5 job in sales felt like a never ending cycle of quotas & pressure. Even though I was great at what I did, I wanted for something more—something creative and fulfilling. I wanted to make people feel beautiful and confident, but for years, my dream of joining the beauty industry stayed on the back burner.

In October 2019, I signed up for a lash extension certification course. I was very nervous, but I quickly realized I had a natural talent for the craft. I practiced for hours, perfecting my technique on family and friends, and soon built the confidence to launch my own business.

With no prior experience running a business, I started from the ground up. I’ve worked tirelessly to create a brand that reflects my vision: a lash extension service that celebrates individuality and beauty. Whether my clients want a subtle, natural look or bold, dramatic lashes, I ensure every set is customized to their preferences.

To market myself, I’ve always used social media to showcase my work, posting before-and-after photos, client testimonials, and lash care tips. My authenticity and passion resonates with my audience, and my clientele is ever-growing. I reinvest my earnings into my business to upgrade products & tools, and attend advanced training courses.

By October of 2021, my business had become a staple in the metro Kansas City area. I wasn’t just a lash artist—I was a mentor and inspiration to others who dreamed of building something of their own. I am very proud of how far I’ve come, transforming my life and career by pursuing my passion.

My advice to others? “Don’t let fear hold you back. If you’re willing to invest in yourself, you can create something beautiful.”

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Just as I was beginning to build momentum with my growing clientele, the COVID-19 pandemic struck in early 2020 and I was pregnant with my first child. For someone already balancing the challenges of launching a business with the physical demands of pregnancy, the pandemic presented unprecedented obstacles.

I also struggled with self doubt in a market that I thought was over-saturated. I had to constantly remind myself that I was in an industry that is valued at $1.3 billion & is constantly growing. I had to think outside the box when it came to brand identity, quality, & customer retention.

I am a passionate and talented young Black entrepreneur who has been transforming in the lash industry since I launched my business in October 2019. With a dedication to enhancing natural beauty, I specialize in creating custom lash extensions that cater to a wide range of preferences—from soft and natural looks to bold and dramatic styles that make a statement.

Over the years, I have built a reputation for my precision, artistry, and commitment to client satisfaction. I stay ahead of trends, using high-quality materials and advanced techniques to ensure long-lasting and stunning results. My business has grown steadily thanks to my attention to detail and ability to connect with clients on a personal level.

Beyond my lash services, I am advocate for empowering women to embrace their confidence and individuality. My work is a testament to my belief that beauty is not one-size-fits-all but something that can be tailored to reflect the unique essence of each person.

My journey in the beauty industry is marked by my resilience, innovation, and a deep love for the craft. I strive to continue to inspire others, not only through my artistry but also as a role model for aspiring young entrepreneurs.

I am always open to collaboration opportunities. Especially with makeup artists, hairstylists, etc. for joint projects or packages (bridal parties, photoshoots, etc.) Also very open to content creation with influencers in beauty or fashion to expand my reach & showcase my work.
