Inspiring Conversations with Paola Amaya of StrongHer Kc Collective

Today we’d like to introduce you to Paola Amaya.

Paola, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
It all started with me trying to find something to do after having my firstborn. I had just graduated high school and felt like I had no purpose or direction. Then I found the gym, and something inside me lit up.

For the first time, I found purpose. I learned how to set goals, work toward something meaningful, and experience the fulfillment that comes from earning results. Not only did my body change, but my mind changed too.

I realized that if I could transform my body through consistency and discipline, I could apply those same principles to every area of my life. The gym gave me confidence, and I became obsessed with learning. I studied the body, the mind, and what it truly means to live a healthy life.

It has been a journey of learning and unlearning—discovering what works for me, letting go of trends, and building a lifestyle rooted in health, strength, and purpose.

Two years ago, I decided to take everything I had learned and use it to help other women do the same. To help them build confidence, strength, and purpose through fitness. Mind, body, and purpose—all connected.

Looking back, I can see that God was preparing me for this all along. What a blessing it is to serve, create, and do work that truly matters to me.

I am incredibly grateful for every experience that shaped me into the person I am today—someone who gets to guide, encourage, and support others on their fitness journey.

I love this chapter of my life, but stay tuned… the vision is so much bigger than what you see right now.

Grateful for how far I’ve come, and excited for what’s still to come.

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
I think all things worth having are hard. The things that truly change your life require sacrifice, discipline, patience, and faith.

I’ve learned to see every struggle as an opportunity for growth—and let’s just say I’ve had plenty of those opportunities. Looking back now, I’m grateful for every challenge, every setback, and every lesson because they shaped me into the person I am today.

Hard times have a way of revealing who you really are. They show you whether you’re willing to keep going when things don’t go your way. They test your commitment to the life you say you want.

I am proud of the obstacles I’ve overcome and the person I’ve become through them. I’ve learned how to let go, protect my energy, and understand that not everything deserves my attention.

To me, discipline and self-control are the real measures of success. They’re what keep you moving forward when motivation fades. They’re what help you show up, day after day, even when it’s hard.

My favorite thing about the failures, the bad days, and the rejection is that they taught me who I am. They taught me that I’m stronger than I thought, more resilient than I knew, and capable of overcoming whatever comes my way.

With God, I can overcome anything. Every challenge has a purpose, every season has a lesson, and every step is part of His plan.

I don’t have all the answers, but I trust the One who does. And I know He has a plan for me.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I am the owner of StrongHER KC Collective, a community built around strength, growth, and empowerment.

What started as my own fitness journey has grown into something much bigger than me. Through group training, personal training, and community, my mission is to help as many women as possible become healthier, stronger, more confident versions of themselves.

StrongHER is more than workouts. It’s a safe space for women to show up exactly as they are, work on their physical and mental well-being, and discover what they’re truly capable of. A place to heal, grow, and build confidence from the inside out.

I believe fitness has the power to transform lives because I’ve lived it myself. Strength isn’t just about building muscle—it’s about building resilience, discipline, self-belief, and purpose.

Every woman deserves a supportive community that encourages her to grow, celebrates her wins, and reminds her of her strength on the days she forgets.

This is why I do what I do. To serve, inspire, and help women become the strongest version of themselves—mind, body, and spirit.

So, before we go, how can our readers or others connect or collaborate with you? How can they support you?
One of my favorite things is connecting and working with people who are passionate about what they do.

I truly believe amazing things happen when people who love their craft come together to build, create, and serve others. Passion is contagious, and when driven people collaborate with a shared purpose, the impact can be powerful.

I get excited about working alongside people who are just as committed to their vision as I am to mine. People who are willing to put in the work, think big, and create something meaningful for their community.

If you’re passionate about what you do and interested in collaborating, I’d love to connect. Whether it’s fitness, wellness, business, community events, or something completely different, I’m always open to opportunities to learn, grow, and create together.

Let’s build something great and make a positive impact in the lives of others.
