Inspiring Conversations with Nyree Young of Trinity Creations LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nyree Young.

Hi Nyree, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
We are Trinity Creations LLC, Nyree Young, and Ruby Watts. We started as a church family and grew into a family. We both enjoyed entertaining and decorating with themes. One day in July 2019, we talked and prayed and said, “Let’s do it. We’re starting an event planning business. We began thinking of a name, knowing we had to keep God at the center, and Trinity Creations LLC came to life. We’re a small black-owned women’s business serving the KCMO and surrounding areas. We both have full-time jobs doing other things, but we love helping people celebrate, plan and decorate. Whether for birthdays, weddings, dinner parties, graduations, kids, or adults, we enjoy what we do. We take their vision and bring it to life. It’s gratifying to receive feedback that we’ve done what they wanted and went above and beyond. That’s our continual commitment to keep God at the head. We can do all things through God, who strengthens us. What can we create for you?

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has been a challenging road. Anyone starting a small business from the ground has experienced that. We began in July 2019, and as everyone knows, the pandemic hit in March 2020. We hadn’t even been in business for a year and were already sidelined. Next, people should have paid to celebrate because of lost wages due to job loss/being laid off. We had a dry spell. But with God, all things are possible. We began yard signage and working with the budget that families had to have for their event. Everyone deserves to be celebrated, and helping families with that became even more evident.

We’ve been impressed with Trinity Creations LLC, but for folks who might need to be more familiar, what can you share about what you do and what sets you apart?
We are Trinity Creations LLC! We are an event planning/decorating business. We are your go-to for lasting memories for any occasion/celebration. Trinity Creations LLC is comprised of dynamic women who specialize in making every event memorable! What sets us apart is that nothing and no one is too big or too small for us. We’re most proud that we love what we do and, at times, have done it for free because we believe everyone deserves to be celebrated. We want the readers to know we are a small business with much heart and faith. What can we create for you?

Can you talk to us about the role of luck?
You call it luck; we call it faith. So faith has played a significant part in our life and business. Because of our faith in God, we’ve been brought together to bless others. When things don’t look good, our faith remains steadfast, and we don’t give up. We went through a dry spell but remained faithful, and we’re still here. We’re blessed with an event when we think we’re going into another dry spell. We love what we do, and our faith is strong.
