Inspiring Conversations with Nika Sien of Real Estate / Realty Executives

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nika Sien.

Hi Nika, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I grew up learning about real estate from my dad – I went to open houses as a kid and learned about his work on the car rides to school. After graduating from KU with a degree in Genetics, I took a different turn and joined the corporate world. When the pandemic hit and my work went remote, I looked into other options. My love for waking up and working in my sweatpants was short-lived. I looked into entering the career I had been learning about my entire life, real estate.

On top of that, I am working alongside my role model every day, my dad. My dad is an expert in the field and has worked in the business for 30+ years. Last week, as a team, we were assigned three awards for our 2022 sales and ranked as one of the Top 50 agents in the Mid-America Region in 2022. It feels like a full-circle moment.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, especially when you’re in a position of working for yourself. Your time isn’t your own, and you must keep yourself motivated 24/7 because no one will hold you accountable to do the work. Transitioning to a new career had its downfalls; I was starting from square one. Every failure came with a lesson that has made me much better at my work. I’ve learned to be more patient, appreciate every opportunity, take risks, accept help, and not worry about the opinion of others. Surrounding myself with positivity makes all the difference. Journaling, writing goals, and listening to podcasts have been fantastic self-improvement sources. Life is too short, don’t let your downfalls define you.

As you know, we’re big fans of Real Estate / Realty Executives. For our readers who might need to become more familiar, what can you tell them about the brand?
My number one priority in business is ensuring my clients get results. At the end of the day, we’re all in this together, and I’m grateful for every opportunity. I’ve consulted with investors on flips, worked with first-time homebuyers to compete out of multiple offers on their dream homes, and relocated families across the country. I’ve helped businesses sign leases and purchase properties to help expand their franchise.

Alongside my dad, we’re commercial and residential real estate experts in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Getting the job done and ensuring our clients are satisfied is always a top priority. But we also make great friendships and relationships out of every transaction. Thank you to anyone who has worked with us in the past few years. We appreciate you so much.
