Inspiring Conversations with Kindlyn Williams of DOPE FITT, LLC

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kindlyn Williams.

Hi Kindlyn. We’d love to learn more about how you got to where you are today. Can you start by introducing yourself?

I’m Kindlyn Williams, socially known as Kind Kayy. Professionally I am a Customer Service Trainer and Quality Assurance Specialist with Husqvarna Construction. I am also the creator of DOPE FITT, LLC. We are a health and wellness accountability community with a mission to be the change we want to see in the world with a focus on establishing healthy habits.

DOPE FITT is an acronym for Disciplined – Optimistic – Patient – Efficient – Fighting Intentionally Toward Transformation. What started as a hobby to lose 30 or 40 lbs. Has turned into a growing side hustle, with aspirations of becoming a full-time business. DOPE FITT is a community with a blueprint for anyone who wants to experience an internal transformation with external results. We provide a safe and sacred space for those who are ready to do the work to become the person they can’t stop dreaming about.

I know this first hand. I was my first client. I battled hidden, undiagnosed depression for nearly six years. I had become disappointed with my life. I felt like I should’ve been much further than where I was at the time. Seemingly everything that could go wrong was going wrong. I was working what seemed like a dead-end job as a customer service representative. There were more bills than money. I was married (with no children), but we were far from happy. No matter how hard I tried, I never seemed to be able to finish anything I’d start. I was a major procrastinator, late-night binge eater, insecure, jealous, and envious of anyone who appeared to be living a better life than me.

Everything seemed so far out of reach. I hid behind a fake smile while cheering others on in public. I was secretly battling mental and emotional traumas behind closed doors. I cried myself to sleep almost every night. Despite being uninspired, I used my social media platforms to “inspire” others.

In 2019 I reached a point where I became tired of being tired. I was invited into a health and wellness community. This is where I discovered the importance of community and that you must surround yourself with people who have successfully accomplished what you aspire to do.

I began to dream big. Being connected to this group of women helped me develop a vision for my life. There was a commonality among every woman connected. Each of them had a story of transformation, even though their physical changes were outstanding! It was their internal transformations that had me most intrigued. Was this possible for me? Where would I even begin?

After 90 days, I successfully reached my first health milestone through coaching, support, and determination. I was beginning to feel alive, enlightened, and motivated. I thought, “If I can do this, anyone can do this.” That’s when DOPE FITT came to life.

After overcoming the fear of sharing unfiltered photos and stretching beyond my comfort zone of publicly sharing this journey with my social media followers, my public posts turned into private messages. I began messaging and connecting with others.

Being accountable for someone else made me even more responsible for myself. My community began to grow. My mental and physical health continued to improve. I received two career promotions, my marriage improved, and I finally felt like I was on the right path.  This community was the missing piece I never knew I needed.

What started as a hobby in 2019 has become a fully committed passion. I am now on a mission to help at least 100 women that desire this same transformation as I and dozens of others have experienced. My program is not a quick fix. We offer a variety of options that help you get started with creating a healthy lifestyle. You must be committed to the process, but more importantly, you must be committed to yourself.

We all face challenges, but would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No. However, despite my challenges, I wouldn’t change my journey thus far for the world. My health and wellness community helps me stay grounded, focused, and committed to improving all aspects of life. As a career woman with entrepreneurial aspirations, I’m challenged with overcoming doubt, stress, and imposter syndrome. However, even with that roller coaster of emotions, it’s still been an empowering experience. My wellness community helps me tap into my creativity, connect with others, and challenge myself in ways that promote growth, all while helping others.

Thanks – so, what else should our readers know about DOPE FITT, LLC?
DOPE FITT is more than a workout and a meal plan. We are not an organization that focuses on merely losing weight. We don’t take a one-size fits all approach to wellness. Our focus is your health esteem. We encourage you to create and celebrate small tiny habits. These small, consistent habits produce big transformational results. We offer one-on-one accountability coaching with a supportive community of individuals on the same journey. Your access includes meal plans, structured workouts, daily support, and motivation. We provide everything you need to develop discipline and consistency. When you trust the process and do the work, this works! Cheers to being more D.O.P.E!

What’s next?
I am looking forward to the continued growth of my business. Currently, our workouts are all done virtually. This year I am working towards offering training at local community centers. I plan to add 5 more working Coaches who want to get in the best shape of their lives and earn an additional income stream while helping others reach their health and wellness goals.
