Today we’d like to introduce you to Kenny Beall.
Hi Kenny, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
It’s been a journey and I feel like I’m just getting started. I moved to Kansas City from Denver to take a position at a furniture dealer. Had never been to Kansas City, but was anxious to start a new career in the industry and see where it took me. To my surprise, I fell in love with the commercial interior world and also Kansas City. After exploring a few different roles and companies, I started to think about my next step of my career. Owning my own business always felt like the right move and I haven’t looked back. I started my rep group in December of 2020, just 7 months after the start of the pandemic. It’s been a whirlwind of activity and emotions and I’m beyond excited about the future.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I would not say smooth, but also wouldn’t consider it rocky. I’m a veteran (16 years in the industry) so it was a natural transition from the furniture dealer world to a rep group. Just learning the ropes and building new relationships. I am in the business of relationships, 1st and foremost. I joke with friends and colleagues that I’m in the dating phase, but it’s very much the truth. Relationships don’t develop overnight. They take time, patience, and consistency. Building trust is at the core of building and maintaining relationships and I take this to heart.
