Inspiring Conversations with Javier Rivera of Rivera Eye Photography

Today we’d like to introduce you to Javier Rivera.

Hi Javier, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I got into photography in 2016 after posting photos I took while vacationing in Chicago. When I got home, a couple liked my style and hired me to take pictures of their wedding. That was the beginning of my new journey.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business is never easy; I’ve had a lot of struggles, just as anyone else would. I started this business with no business background or college education to back me up. Everything I have made was from scratch. I have learned the highs and lows of business, which makes me great at what I do. I make every opportunity, good and bad, a learning experience.

Let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Rivera Eye Photography is run by me alone. I handle everything from start to finish. I specialize in creating new things with photography; my photos capture the life and colors of the moment. I also love doing significant events such as weddings, Quinceanera, and special occasions. Another area in which I specialize is portrait and studio photography. I am not scared of trying new things or testing out new skills; that would be the biggest thing that sets me apart from others. The thing I am most proud of is that everything I have learned has been self-taught. Rivera Eye is beginning to expand its services to videography. It is one of the things I am enjoying. I love to collaborate ideas with my clients to get the best results.
