Hi Jamie, thanks for joining us today. We’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I’ve spent majority of my life wanting to be my own “Boss”. I originally thought that this could be accomplished in the corporate field. I learned that the autonomy and fulfillment that I was in search for was not in corporate at all. One night, while contemplating my life, my wants, my needs, and trajectory, I had an epiphany. Being my own boss would take me truly being my own boss. It was New Years Eve of 2018. I sat down at the computer and said “Eff it!, Just do it!” I stayed up all night creating my logo, creating my LLC, establishing my business. By sunrise on January 1, 2019, I was officially a business owner. I started with assisting my community with credit restoration services, where I have educated mass audiences on how credit works and how to make your credit work for you. I soon pivoted in 2022 to strictly tax advisory and preparation. I’ve fully committed to my being a tax advisor and strategist and will continue to grow my firm to be a competitor in my field.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Being a business owner has not been a smooth road. I’ve had to learn to separate personal from business to it’s highest capacity. Having a business of your own is absolutely fantastic, but when you do not plan for your business to run in your absence, then you plan to not proficiently operate your business. I am a firm believer that you simply do not know what you do not know. And boy, did I learn that the hard way. Working through grief and betrayal is tough. Working through pregnancy is tough. Working through postpartum and depression is tough. I had to rectify moments where my load was too heavy and I came up short in the customer service department. I had to spend time updating systems and processes to refine my workflows. The main struggle though, was learning to show up for myself the way that I had shown up for everyone else.

I help small business owners and side hustlers who file Schedule C understand how to properly run and track their business finances so they can confidently file accurate tax returns and keep more of what they earn. I also am a certified acceptance agent and work closely with the immigrant community to help foreign individuals and others without Social Security Numbers obtain an ITIN by authenticating identity documents (like passports) for the IRS, allowing clients to avoid mailing original documents. In addition, I’ve recently expanded services to include assisting business owners in forming, electing, and maintaining S corporation status to reduce self-employment taxes through pass-through taxation and the annual filing of Form 1120-S. Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Externally, I am somewhat of a social butterfly. I can get along with most people. But, you might not know that I am a caregiver to an ailing mom and older sister. You may not know that I love the quiet moments in life, where peace seems inevitable. I operate my business in such a way.
