Hi Essence, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always had a deep love for skincare and helping others feel confident in their own skin. What started as a personal passion for self-care and wellness naturally grew into a career focused on making people feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. Over time, I pursued my esthetics license and began offering services that combine both relaxation and real results. Now, as I continue my journey in nursing with the goal of opening my own med spa, I’m excited to keep creating spaces where people can look and feel their best.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. I didn’t have the easiest upbringing, and losing my dad two years ago was one of the hardest moments of my life. It caused a major setback for me emotionally and mentally, but it also strengthened my faith and resilience. Through it all, I’ve had to trust that God’s plan is greater than my own and that with hard work, consistency, and faith, I would eventually get to where I’m meant to be. Every challenge has shaped me into the person I am today and continues to motivate me to keep pushing forward.
We’ve been impressed with EssenceEsthetique , but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is all about helping people feel confident, refreshed, and comfortable in their own skin. I specialize in customized facials, corrective treatments, and relaxation-based services that focus on both results and experience. What sets my brand apart is the care and intention behind every service — I truly take the time to make each client feel seen, cared for, and valued.
I’m most proud that my brand represents peace, self-care, and genuine connection. It’s not just about skincare; it’s about creating a safe space where people can unwind, heal, and leave feeling renewed inside and out. My goal is for every client to walk away not only glowing on the outside but feeling uplifted and confident within.
Is there a quality that you most attribute to your success?
The quality I believe has been most important to my success is my faith and perseverance. No matter what challenges I’ve faced, I’ve always trusted that everything happens for a reason and stayed committed to my purpose. I also believe my compassion for others and genuine care for people have played a big part in my journey. When you truly love what you do and pour your heart into helping others, it always shows — and that’s what keeps clients coming back and helps me continue to grow.
