

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chef Romona Allen
Hi Chef Romona, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
As a kid I always loved to cook. My love and passion for the art of food and how it makes people feel, began with me helping my disabled Aunt. I would cook her meals when she was unable to get out of bed, and she would talk me through the cooking process from her bedroom located just off the kitchen. Fast forward to 2010- I am a Graduate of Le, Cordon Bleu Scottsdale Culinary Institute as a Certified Chef with an Associates Degree in Applied Science in Culinary Arts, and like most people I did not immediately get a job in my field of study. Instead, I found another job in corporate America, but I would cater on the side, when family or friends asked. In 2020 I was like every other American trying to figure out what I could do to make ends meet, as the world was on lockdown during the pandemic. I noticed there weren’t any good eateries around that had great baked potato options so I wanted to center my business around that. But I actually started my business featuring my Loaded Cinnamon Rolls- Peach Cobbler, Maple Bacon, and Strawberry to name a few. Then we added loaded potatoes, loaded fries, and chicken. In 2022, I opened my food truck, debuting additional tasty food items like our popular Jerk Chicken Egg Roll and Loaded Seafood Fries.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Nothing new has a smooth road. I learned very quickly that there was much more to opening up a food truck. Then there’s even more to operating and maintaining a food truck once you’ve opened. There is a lot that has to be done and limited access to capital. And if you don’t know how to apply for grants, obtaining funding can be difficult. But what I learned is that there are a lot of great resources out there, and many people willing to help- you just have to be willing to do the work.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
Fully Loaded Foods is a company that provides fresh and unique Gourmet Egg Rolls- both savory and dessert, as well as a variety of Loaded Gourmet Fry options and other delicious creations. What sets me apart is that I’m a trained and certified Chef. I use my knowledge to build flavor profiles with our egg rolls and Fries that no one can resist. One of our popular items are our Seafood fries topped with real crabmeat, shrimp, and crawfish, and our house-made cheese sauce. Then we also have our irresistible Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls. and Strawberry Cheesecake Rolls. Additionally we offer Shrimp and Steak, and Seafood Egg Rolls. and our Grilled Chicken Bacon Ranch Fries alone with our well seasoned Fried Chicken and Fish.
How do you think about happiness?
Outside of my kids, cooking makes me happy. I love making people feel good through awesome food made with love.
