Inspiring Conversations with Chantel White of Cute & Cut

Today we’d like to introduce you to Chantel White.

Hi Chantel, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
My journey began with my own healing.

I became a young mother, and like many women, I learned to care for others before I ever truly knew how to care for—or love—myself. Over the years, through struggle, growth, and self-discovery, I found healing in holistic practices especially massage, yoga, and ancestral rituals that reconnected me to my roots as a Black and Indigenous woman of Seminole-Creek heritage.

That healing became my calling.

In 2023, I launched Cute & Cut, an inclusive space for bodywork and holistic healing, where massage, yoga, assisted stretching, and sound therapy aren’t just services, they’re soul care. A sanctuary where clients feel heard, safe, and royal. That same year, I also launched Balance, my luxury wellness CBD products that are made in a Kansas cGMP lab. Both brands reflect my heart, my culture, and my commitment to a holistic, trauma-informed approach to care.

Today, as a first-generation college graduate from Kansas State University and a graduate student at Washburn University pursuing my Master of Social Work, I’m deepening this work by bridging clinical tools with cultural wisdom to serve my community more fully. I’ve been honored to host community events, partner with Black-led organizations, and create healing spaces.

I became what helped me heal. And now, I get to share that medicine with the world.

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Not at all, but every bump in the road shaped the healer I’ve become.

I’ve had to navigate divorce, single motherhood, a blended family, generational trauma, and the constant balancing act of showing up for my family, my community, and myself. I didn’t grow up with a blueprint for entrepreneurship or wellness work, I had to create it.

Building Cute & Cut and Balance while pursuing my Master of Social Work, raising children, working full-time in Child Welfare, serving over a decade in the nonprofit sector, and holding space for others has required deep self-discipline, faith, and rest—real rest, not just sleep. There were moments when I questioned if I was doing too much and if I could keep going. But then I remind myself, I have no choice but to keep going to make my dreams come true and to build my legacy.

My struggles are part of the story. They remind me why this work is so important. I know what it feels like to carry pain in my soul, to feel unseen, or to be overwhelmed by survival. That’s why I’ve made it my mission to create spaces where others can release, reconnect, and rest.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
At Cute & Cut, I specialize in providing peace.

It’s more than massage or yoga, it’s about creating an experience that honors the whole person through a holistic approach to the body, mind, and spirit.

As a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher, I specialize in Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Massage, Hot Stone Therapy, restorative and gentle yoga, assisted stretching, and sound therapy. Every session is customized with intention and compassion.

What sets my work apart is the sacredness I bring into each space. Whether you’re coming in for bodywork or breathwork, you’re stepping into a space where you are safe, heard, and honored. I serve a diverse clientele and focus on supporting those who carry stress, trauma, chronic pain, or the weight of always being strong for others.

What I’m most proud of is that both of my brands are deeply rooted in my truth as a Black and Indigenous woman, a Holistic Wellness Practitioner, and a cycle-breaker. Everything I offer is built with care, integrity, and a deep desire to see others thrive.

Is there anything else you’d like to share with our readers?
Yes, healing is not a luxury, it’s a necessity. And it’s never too late to begin again. Yoga is for everybody, and you do not have to be flexible to participate.

No matter your background or story, or if you’re simply someone trying to make it through the day, I want you to know that your rest matters. Your healing matters. You deserve to be free from pain in your body and to feel supported in your journey. Pour into yourself. Make time for yourself. You deserve it.

I created Cute & Cut as an offering to remind people especially those who’ve been overlooked or overwhelmed, that peace is possible. I believe in holding space where we can slow down, breathe deeper, and reconnect with the parts of ourselves we’ve had to silence.

If no one has told you lately, you are worthy of care. You are allowed to rest. And healing is your birthright.
