Inspiring Conversations with Carlosnewmusic of ElectroDanceWorld Radio

Today we’d like to introduce you to Carlosnewmusic.

Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I (carlosnewmusic) was a music analyst collaborator of Maxima51chat (MaximaFM/40Dance), FlaixFM, Europa Baila (EuropaFM) and 40 Principales (the main FM radio stations with electronic music programs in Spain), until I left it for studies, which was noticeable in their listener statistics. Afterwards, I was offered to get into an online FM Radio Station to do a radio show and also added to a Whatsapp group, which I did not have time to follow and was expelled from that Radio Station. That’s when I told myself why not create my own station? I did so from a Facebook page that at that time had 200 followers and was managed by one of the collaborating partners. Now there are more than 13,000 followers among all our social [https://linktr.ee/electrodanceworldradio]. We have collaborations with important record labels such as Ego Music (1.7M in their social networks), Pulsar Recordings (105K in their social networks), Deeplomatic recordings(65K in their social networks), among others. Now the station is run by several partners: A former music analyst collaborator of UnikaFM, LocaFM (Important current electronic music radio stations in Spain), a Community Manager who also handles design issues, a music journalist, among other collaborators, and we are open to anyone who wants to help or join the project, which you can do by contacting us directly.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
No, we have had some technical problems with some external servers that we had, as well as the lack of technical collaborators/volunteers to help us in the project. I say this because, although new collaborators/volunteers are given free training, there are times when it is still difficult for them to help us because they are not very familiar with digital environments.

We’ve been impressed with ElectroDanceWorld Radio, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are organized almost as a non-profit organization in defence and diffusion of electronic music. We specialize in giving opportunities to new electronic music talents, whatever their style or sub-style, either by broadcasting their songs or with a radio show on our Radio if they wish and have the quality to be inside our Radio. We don’t like the label EDM as a style but as a set of electronic dance music styles. We support any style of electronic music, be it more mainstream or more underground. We’d love to hear about any fond memories you have from when you were growing up?
I remember when I was little, my parents bought me a drum for the Easter holidays and I didn’t stop playing it until it broke.
