Inspiring Conversations with Andrew Bristow of Pantheon Moving

Today we’d like to introduce you to Andrew Bristow

Hi Andrew, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My name is Andrew Bristow. I am 21 years old and I am the owner of Pantheon Moving. I got into the moving business at 17 while I finished my last year of high school at Sumner Academy and worked for a large moving company for 3 years while being in college. While working at the company I moved up the ranks very quickly and became a senior crew lead and regularly helped with daily operations and management tasks. In my time working for this company I also gained experience working in a call center and as the director of new hire onboarding, which got me acquainted with customer service and people relations. Towards the end of my career there I became dissatisfied with the progress I was making and their unwillingness to give me higher positions and more responsibility because of my age.
This experience is what gave me the inspiration to start my own company. I knew I had the skills and motivation to run and manage a company and I wanted everyone to recognize that as well. I started this company as my side job when I was 19 and in college to help pay for expenses, but I started getting more jobs very quickly and it soon started consuming a majority of my time. After finishing getting my associates degree from college I decided to start working full time and dedicating all attention to running and managing the business.
It has not been an easy path to get where I currently am and I have learned a lot of hard and important lessons along the way, but I plan on using all the knowledge I have acquired to continue to nurture and grow this company to its full potential.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It has not been an easy journey to get to the point I am right now. My original plan after graduating high school was to attend a 4 year university for engineering. I have always excelled academically so I was accepted into nearly every college I applied to. I soon found that this path would not be financially viable for me so I knew at a young age I would need to start working to afford my education. I got my first job at 15 and have been working since then. I have always been hardworking and dedicated and that is what I have been told by everyone I have worked with. I started working at a moving company when I was 17 and while being there they offered optional classes on how to run a moving franchise, which piqued my interest but they steered me away because of my age. They did however give me other opportunities to gain experience. I quickly became a senior crew lead and regularly helped with daily operations tasks and handling any issues that occurred on site. I also spent time working in their call center and doing onsite estimates to learn the sales process. During my time working 60-80 hour weeks with them I was also in college doing 4-5 classes a semester, this is where I learned the value of time management and prioritizing tasks.
After a year and a half of working for them I was offered a position in the department of people development where we had regular meetings about ways to improve business processes and employee relations. This is where I realized my passion for business and management and started my desire to run and operate my own business. I started Pantheon Moving before my second year of college and have had to adapt and learn from the many hurdles I have faced along the way but I am excited for the future and the new skills I will learn along the way.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?

Are there any apps, books, podcasts, blogs or other resources you think our readers should check out?
Google Calendar helps keep my schedule in check, whether it’s work tasks, move scheduling, marketing deadlines, or personal plans. I love how I can color-code different tasks so I can see everything at a glance. Shared calendars keep my team on the same page, and the reminder notifications mean I never miss a deadline or meeting. Since it syncs with Gmail, Zoom, and other apps, I don’t waste time switching between platforms.

A book that I found very insightful was Atomic Habits by James Clear. Reading Atomic Habits changed how I approach productivity and discipline. Instead of trying to change everything at once, I focus on small, consistent improvements that add up over time. It’s helped me build better routines, stay consistent with work, and make real progress without feeling overwhelmed.

A podcast I regularly listen to is The Game by Alex Hormozi. He makes it clear that it’s not just about selling a service—it’s about making an offer so good, people feel dumb saying no. That mindset helped me rethink how I market Pantheon Moving, focusing on ways to add value, like bundling services or creating incentives that make us the obvious choice. His insights on customer acquisition, psychology-based sales, and digital marketing have been eye-opening.
