Hi Trashae, I’m so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work life, how can you bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
Hard work and determination are how I arrived at this current experience phase. I had a vision and the courage to bring it all to life. There were moments of being faced with constant adversity, and I became resilient through facing challenges. Resiliency is a force that propelled me to follow my dreams and to remain dedicated to my purpose. My businesses were crafted with intention and faculty of sight.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The more I expand, the more complex my challenges become. It’s all in the balance. I’ve had to discover how to stay focused and avoid being easily swayed from my mission. Remaining passionate about my work has also been a factor now and then. As a creative, I am always ready for change and newness. When cultivating and maintaining a business, I realized there needs to be stability, certainty, and total belief in what I stand for and have built. Obedience and discipline are essential. Without it, there is no order. Without order and structure, there is no longevity. I had to learn to remain focused, fearless, and fruitful in everything I do.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I am also in the process of starting a new all natural/organic body and skin care line with my mother . We have been planning and creating products for over a year now and we’ve finally reached a milestone where we are prepared to launch our brand. Balanced Body will have hair growth oil , body butters, body oils , massage oil candles , pheromone body sprays and so much more ! Our mission is to provide high quality products to our customers while also catering to people of color . We deserve lavish and luxury . So we took upon ourselves to create a brand that symbolizes that. Balanced Body will be launched in October of 2023 . Stay tuned!

The crisis has affected us all in different ways. How has it affected you, and any important lessons or epiphanies you can share with us?
Covid-19 changed the game for me. My business expanded beyond my wildest dreams during the pandemic and taught me something valuable about business. Supply and demand. If and when you have a true need that caters to the public, you become essential. The crisis showed that as long as I provide quality services with love and care for those I am serving, I will always have clientele. During a worldwide pandemic where people should’ve been weary of touch, my business was the most successful. My blessings will forever thrive as long as I move with intention, purpose, and determination to serve my community. Nothing external to you can interfere with what has always been set out for you. Covid-19 showed me that you lean into your quest even more when push comes to shove.
