Today we’d like to introduce you to Rahma Khuder.
Hi Rahma, so excited to have you on the platform. So before we get into questions about your work-life, maybe you can bring our readers up to speed on your story and how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey in the insurance industry back in 2021. At that time, I didn’t have it all figured out- I just knew I wanted more than a typical 9-to-5 job. I was looking for a career that gave me purpose and freedom.
I started small, with just a few ideas, and a lot of passion.
Over time, I discovered what I love about insurance – educating people, building my network, supporting other local entrepreneurs, women, and having the flexibility to work wherever and whenever especially as a mother that was very important to me.
It hasn’t been easy, but every challenge taught me something valuable. I’ve grown so much since I first started, and I’m proud of how far I’ve come and the incredible people I’ve connected with along the way. It’s been a journey of growth, discipline, and consistency – and I’m just getting started.
I’m excited for what’s ahead – new challenges, new connections, and continuing to grow while helping others protect what matters most.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. Starting out in the insurance industry came with a lot of learning curves – especially I was the first in my family and circle to enter this field. To my knowledge, I’m also the only Arabic- speaking insurance agent in KS/MO. Being the first brought its own challenges, but I was filled with lot of support and love from them. I owe a lot to my family and my two incredible kids; they’ve always pushed me to keep going and kept me grounded and driven.
Many people thought getting into insurance and opening my own agency was risky. So, there were moments of self-doubt, times when progress felt slow, and plenty of trial and error.
I had to build my name, my confidence, and my client base from scratch.
But those challenges really shaped me. They pushed me to stay disciplined, taught me the importance of believing in myself, and to keep going even when things felt uncertain. Every setback taught me something valuable – and I truly believe that’s what helped me grow both personally and professionally.
Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know?
I run my own insurance agency in Kansas City with Country Financial, a company known for providing reliable insurance and financial solutions to help individuals, families, and small business owners navigate insurance in a way that’s simple and easy to understand. My goal is to make insurance less intimidating and more empowering for the people I work with.
I specialize in Auto, home, life, and Commercial insurance.
Being a bilingual allows me to serve different communities, understand their unique needs, and provide guidance on the right coverages. I take pride in educating my clients so they can make confident decisions about their coverages.
I’m known for building strong relationships with my clients, supporting other local entrepreneurs, and empowering women, and guiding my clients with honest and care.
I’m most proud of the trust I’ve earned and the positive impact I’ve been able to make in my community.
What I want readers to know is that I’m in this field with COUNTRY Financial to give people peace of mind, empower them with knowledge, and help them to protect what matters most.
COUNTRY Financial is a great company that has been around for over 100 years, and was ranked number one in Forbes, and is consistently recognized among the top companies in the industry.
Can you share something surprising about yourself?
Something surprising about me is that I don’t consider myself a salesperson!!
Even though I work in insurance (numbers game field), my focus is on educating and guiding clients so they can make confident decisions without feeling pressured.
A big part of how I approach this comes from my love of reading books about discipline, mindset, and personal growth – that helped me stay thoughtful, positive, patient, and focused on what truly matters in life.
