Today we’d like to introduce you to Rachael Whitehead.

Rachael, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
Whatever Is Lovely Events was brought to life after my own wedding and realizing how important it is having someone behind the scenes to manage all of the overwhelming details. I didn’t realize just how many moving pieces there were! From setting up centerpieces, checking in and directing the caterers, to problem-solving last minutes emergencies, there was no one who knew all the details of my wedding day but me and my momma. So when questions needed answered, guess who they came to.

While I have zero regrets from my wedding, there were definitely some missed moments and experiences- I don’t even have a picture of my mom zipping me into my wedding dress! And so, Whatever Is Lovely Events was created. Whether you’ve got it all together and just need a day-of coordinator or feel a little overwhelmed and want help with all the things, we’re here to help you celebrate your Kansas City wedding in a big way. Our goal is to help you feel supported and encouraged through the wedding planning process and provide those moments and experiences for you and your loved ones.

With us, you get an advocate and a friend. A gal in your corner you trust to manage all the details you’ve worked so hard to plan. A voice to speak for you while creating the wedding that tells your specific love story. Women that love to chuckle and joke over the stresses of wedding planning. Your special day should be full of details that make your guests turn to each other and say, “that’s so them!” and we’re the lovely team to help you bring those details to life.

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
As any small business owner or entrepreneur will tell you- it’s never a smooth road! Consider just last year and the struggles of 2020. While we thought our business had seen all of the challenges possible, we never even considered a global pandemic that would entirely shut down our industry. But even though the struggles, our focus remained the same: Providing moments and experiences for Kansas City couples, no matter what their wedding day may look like.

As you know, we’re big fans of Whatever Is Lovely Events. For our readers who might not be as familiar what can you tell them about the brand?
We’re wedding planners + designers based in Kansas City, MO. We pride ourselves in bringing creative and inspiring details of a wedding day to life and that no two weddings will look the same. We believe that our couples have a unique love story to tell through their wedding planning, and we’re here to bring that voice to life.

We’re here to Educate, Empower and Inspire. We believe in providing all of our knowledge as a resource to Kansas City couples and empowering them through the wedding planning process.

If you had to, what characteristic of yours would you give the most credit to?
Having an overwhelming love and heart for the couples and vendors around us. (And a high level of organization and attention to detail, of course!)
