Hidden Gems: Meet Maggie Foster

Today we’d like to introduce you to Maggie Foster.

Maggie, we appreciate you taking the time to share your story with us today. Where does your story begin?
I am a third-generation realtor. As a young girl, I can remember visiting my grandmother in Birmingham, Ala. and going on tours of homes. My mom is an associate broker in Northeast Kansas and she encouraged me over the past several years to go get my “license.” In 2019, I obtained my salesperson licenses in Kansas and Missouri. I then met with other agents referred to me by family and friends to seek out a brokerage and managing broker. I am very fortunate to find my office where I have so many resources available, a talented, dedicated mentor and lots of agent friends who want to help other agents and celebrate their successes. My previous work experience includes working in strategic communications and crisis management for a Fortune 500 company, and later on in marketing and business development for an AmLaw 100 national law firm.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s been a wonderful journey, and I would not change a thing about my adventures in real estate. I have met and learned so much from some really talented professionals; made lasting friendships with my clients; and I have some very amusing anecdotes I have collected along the way. I can’t tell one enough how much I rely on my relationships in this field – it’s absolutely imperative. Yes, this is a solo career, but I am so grateful for everyone I have met over my years in business who I call on for immediate answers.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
I am a ReeceNichols real estate agent and a third-generation realtor. I strive to provide a professional and positive buying and selling experience for my clients.

My primary goal is educating clients throughout the entire home buying and selling process so they are well informed to make confident decisions. I work to provide a strategic approach in handling transactions.

I take great pride and pay close attention to the quality of work and communication for every client; from explanation of the buying and selling process to navigating the current real estate market to handling negotiations.

I am a graduate of the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science in Journalism. In my free time, I enjoy playing tennis, traveling and spending time with my family and friends.

Is there anyone you’d like to thank or give credit to?
There are so many people I work with who are influential in my business. On every transaction, I always learn something new from my clients and fellow coop agents. My mentor and managing broker are always instrumental, along with other agents in my office. I also rely on inspectors, lenders, and other vendors. I find that everyone wants to share their knowledge and expertise, and I’m focused on approaching my business with a curiosity to always learn more.
