Hi Kendra, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
KShea Beauty was born out of a deep love for self-care and a desire to create something truly intentional. What began as experimenting with homemade body butters and scrubs quickly evolved into something more meaningful. Once friends and family tried my creations, their reactions said it all—this wasn’t just a hobby. It was the start of something powerful.

Wanting to take the next step, I partnered with a dear friend who helped me turn this passion into a business. Her support gave me the confidence to step fully into my purpose, and in 2024, KShea Beauty, LLC was officially born.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Starting a business from the ground up—while juggling the rest of life—has been anything but easy. There have been moments of doubt, financial strain, and the overwhelming pressure of feeling like I had to figure everything out on my own. Balancing the business side with staying creative and true to my vision has been a constant learning curve. But with every challenge has come growth, and with every small win, I’ve been reminded of why I started this journey in the first place.
