Today we’d like to introduce you to Jennifer Stafford.

Hi Jennifer, it’s an honor to have you on the platform. Thanks for taking the time to share your story with us – to start maybe you can share some of your backstory with our readers?
My name is Jennifer, and I’m the proud owner of Love Events By Jen. For over 10 years, I’ve had the honor and privilege to help couples nationwide create the wedding of their dreams. Love Events by Jen first started in 2014 in Washington state, and is currently a wedding coordination business in Missouri.

My husband is an active duty member of the Air Force, which is why I’ve had to pick up my business and move multiple times. I’ve coordinated many events and weddings in Washington, California, Arkansas, Texas, and Missouri. We have three more years until my husband’s retirement, so we bought a home, and I have started digging deep into the wedding industry in the Kansas City area. We love it here, and I am excited to see the growth of Love Events by Jen.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
Starting a business at first wass exciting, then it became time consuming, and stressful. Each time we have had to move, it felt like I was starting my business from scratch. Every state is different, and the industry is always changing and evolving.
Being the new business in town comes with its struggles, such as readjusting your packages, prices, and getting your name out there. It’s all about networking and reaching out to other vendors in the area.
Though each move presented its challenges, the outcome has always been greater. We’ve been in Missouri for two years now, and I have booked around 32 weddings and 2 events.

Love Events by Jen is a wedding and event business. Some services I provide are month of coordination, partial planning, full planning, vendor contracts & management, vendor recommendations, timeline creation, budget creation, monthly & weekly checklists, day of set up, decor and clean out, event design, event budget, event set up, and so much more!

I spend as much time as needed consulting with couples to understand their budget and vision for their special day. It’s my number one goal to make their wants and needs come to life. Every wedding and event should reflect the clients budget, needs, and vision.

What sets me apart from so many other planners in the area is that I always go above and beyond for each client. I always put my clients first, making sure they are heard, get what they want, and feel the personal connection. To me, the relationship built between myself and the couple is the most important. I would not be where I am today without the relationships I have built along the way.

What do you like and dislike about the city?
What I love most about our city is the community. The amount of support is so beautiful. I’ve felt so welcomed and valued since we moved here. I am all about supporting businesses and seeing the growth.

Honestly at this time, there isn’t anything I can say that I like least about the city. I have been surprised with how much I have grown to love this city, and look forward to what’s to come.
