Hi Jackie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Back in 2002, as the mother of 3 young children, I was looking for a way to make some supplemental income from home. I had been running the family business for 10 years but wanted to be able to stay home and not miss my kids growing up.. In my online searches, I came across a franchise called “ALL ABOUT HONEYMOONS”. I knew I wanted to own my own business and somehow focus on the wedding industry. This looked like the perfect opportunity to combine my love of travel and weddings so I took the leap. After 9 years with AAH, I decided to branch out on my own and start my own company. Blissful Honeymoons & Destination was born in 2011 with myself and one independent travel advisor. Soon after that, I had some advisors from AAH decide to join my company and we became a team of 5. Fast forward to 2025 and we have a team of 20 amazing travel advisors.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
COVID – that was a very rough year. Travel advisors are not paid until our clients travel. I spent the entire year canceling and rebooking clients and not bringing in any income. I watched years of work disappear and wondered if I my company would survive. I spend that year rebranding and building a new website with the hopes that people would come back…and they did!
We’ve been impressed with Blissful Honeymoons & Destination Weddings & Vacations, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are a full service travel agency specializing in Honeymoons & Destination Weddings. We meticulously plan romance travel for our clients all over the globe. Not getting married? That’s OK! We can plan an amazing vacation or group trip.
You will find we LISTEN to our clients to know what they are looking for. We match the dream with the budget without all the time and stress of researching on your own. As a team of travel advisors, we spend a lot of time traveling so we can share first hand knowledge with our clients.

What sort of changes are you expecting over the next 5-10 years?
I think people will see more value in experiences instead of accumulating things. I have already had a few families opt for family trips instead of gifts for Christmas and Hanukkah. The world is opening up more each and every day and countries welcome tourism.
