Hi Emily, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I started Pink Pest Solutions after serving as an executive at one of the largest pest control companies in America, where I gained a deep understanding of the industry. During that time, I became the second female Associate Certified Entomologist in Kansas, which gave me the strong scientific foundation that still guides everything we do.
That experience helped shape my vision for building something of my own – focused on quality, customer experience, and doing things the right way every time.
Today, we’re a family-owned company that takes the science seriously and stands behind our work. Most of our growth has come from word of mouth, which tells me we’re delivering on that vision.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Starting Pink Pest Solutions from the ground up meant wearing every hat at – technician, sales, customer service – you name it.
On top of that, I was building a company in a very male-dominated industry, and I wasn’t even sure at first if the “pink” branding would resonate with clients or be taken seriously.
But I’ve learned that when you back it up with real knowledge and quality work, people respond to that. The branding ended up becoming a strength – it’s memorable, it stands out, and it reflects that we’re doing things differently than our competitors.
We’ve been impressed with Pink Pest Solutions, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Pink Pest Solutions is a family-owned pest control company serving the Kansas City area, focused on high-quality, science-based solutions for household pests, mosquitos, termites and bedbugs.
As an Associate Certified Entomologist, I make sure every service is based on proper identification, thorough treatment, and using the best products at the most effective concentrations. We stand behind our work with warranties, so customers know it’s done right.
We’re known for being kind, detail-oriented, and honest, and most of our growth has come from word of mouth.
At the end of the day, people choose us because they trust the work.
