Hidden Gems: Meet Clayton Butler of Greenwillow Farms

Today we’d like to introduce you to Clayton Butler.

Hi Clayton, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I got started in 2014 while I was working in restaurants and saw a need for good food. I started small with just a few garden beds and maintained them in my spare time. This eventually led to working at the farm full time. We are now farming a little over an acre and are providing farm-fresh produce to 30 CSA members and several restaurants each week. We also hold a market every Saturday at the Farm.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
With farming, there can be struggles that pop up daily. We have had to learn to work with the weather and the wildlife around us to keep our produce happy.

Greenwillow Farms is a small, family-owned, and operated farm in Greenwood, Missouri. We specialize in growing fresh and natural food through hard work and respectful methods. We offer a Fresh @ the farm market from 10:00 am-12:00 pm every Saturday during our growing season. Next year we plan to begin hosting Farm-to-Table events.
