Hi Amber, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
Honestly, it started young. I have always loved make-up, self-care, skincare, and making others feel good. As a teen, I was the only one of my friends who followed a skincare routine. I would give my mom, aunts, and Nana back massages and pedicures. They always told me I had “magical hands.” My daughter Ava’s grand entrance into the world, motivated me to shoot for the stars. There’s something about becoming a parent that pushes you to be great. I decided to go to school and became a licensed Esthetician in 2018.

Would it have been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
The road has been full of potholes, construction, and detours. I’ve traveled through some heavy storms. However, timing is everything. Each setback set me up for where I am today; being in survival mode for much of my young adulthood, the unknown and unworthiness played a major role in my struggles. Once I found my purpose, became aware of the resources available for humans like me, and no longer feared the unknown – everything began to fall in line for me, and Awakening Beauty and Skin was born.

I specialize in full body waxing, henna brows, and educating others on the importance of skincare pre and post-waxing. With facial skincare being my first love, I will soon add facial treatments to my menu and offer full-body waxing classes for licensed people just beginning or needing to refresh their waxing technique. I have to say I’m known for my unique perspectives, one-of-a-kind personality, strong work ethic, and talent for problem-solving. Which is what I feel sets me apart from others. I’ve dreamed of this since I was young. So my inner child and I are most proud that I leaped to create my brand in general! I want my readers to know that if they’re looking for a safe space, quality & efficient services, good conversation, and great energy – Awakening Beauty and Skin is the space for them.
