Exploring Life & Business with Stephanie McIntosh of Yet Luxxe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Stephanie McIntosh.

Hi Stephanie, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
My journey into fashion didn’t start in a traditional way. I grew up in Kansas City and learned how to sew at a young age. My grandmother first taught me, and my dad reinforced it. He would set up the sewing machine in our living room, and I would spend hours creating random pillows and doll clothing. As you can tell, creativity has always been a natural outlet for me, even as I moved into more traditional career paths.

I spent years working in corporate environments, where I eventually experienced burnout and began questioning what I truly wanted, how I wanted to live, feel, and express myself. That period became a turning point. I started reconnecting with my creativity, and returning to the things that once brought me joy. Sewing became more than just a skill it evolved into a form of grounding and self expression.

From that place, I began creating aerial costumes and swimwear, which ultimately led to the birth of Yet Luxxe. The brand started as a personal vision to design clothing that feels good on the body while aligning with a deeper sense of fashion that are both effortless and elevated, intentional and expressive. I built Yet Luxxe from the ground up, with a focus on sustainability, inclusivity, and creating garments that empower people to feel confident and at ease in their own skin.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road. Building Yet Luxxe has come with challenges, from limited resources to navigating my place within the fashion industry. However, those experiences have strengthened my resilience and deepened my commitment to creating intentional, sustainable fashion.

We’ve been impressed with Yet Luxxe, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Yet Luxxe is a luxury resortwear house dedicated to creating intentional, sustainable designs that celebrate confidence, sensuality, and self expression. As Creative Director, I create pieces that blend artistry, craftsmanship, and storytelling, with a focus on elevated resortwear that encourages the wearer to embrace their individuality.

Specializing in resortwear, Yet Luxxe is known for sculptural and flowy silhouettes, handcrafted details, and innovative textile techniques, including macramé, incorporated into wearable designs.

What sets Yet Luxxe apart is our approach to design as an experience rather than simply a garment. The brand explores the connection between fashion, art, and the body by creating pieces that feel expressive, tactile, and personal.

I am most proud of creating a brand that challenges the perception of what resortwear can be. Where luxury is not only defined by appearance, but by the artistry, intention, and emotion behind each piece. I want all to know that Yet Luxxe represents a journey of self expression, offering garments that invite people to feel confident, elegant, and fully themselves.

So maybe we end on discussing what matters most to you and why?
I believe clothing has the ability to transform how we present ourselves and how we experience ourselves. This belief is at the heart of Yet Luxxe: creating fashion with intention through designs that allow people to feel confident, expressive, and connected to themselves.
Each garment is an opportunity to tell a story through texture, silhouette, and movement while remaining thoughtful about the impact of how fashion is created and worn.
Ultimately, what matters most is creating a brand that reminds people that luxury is more than aesthetics; it is the feeling, the artistry, and the experience behind each piece.
