Hi Sophia, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
Oh boy! My story is long, but it started when I was let go from my corporate job working in Human Resources, and I vowed never to rely on a corporate job to be my sole income ever again. Being a new mom and a new homeowner, my husband and I quickly were stressing out over finances and how to provide for our little one with me not working. Long story short and a few years later (and 3 kids later). I graduated from cosmetology school, received my license in both KS and MO, and worked in a salon doing traditional salon services on top of doing bridal services and realized bridal is really where I wanted to specialize in and focus my craft on. That’s when I really started my bridal hair and makeup business!
I have always had a passion for hair and makeup. I started doing Photo Shoots and Kansas City Fashion Week. I was blessed with an opportunity to participate in a wedding for one of my friends, and my business took off from there. I love being able to help women not only look beautiful, but to feel beautiful and confident, whether it’s for their wedding day, special event, or just a makeup lesson. Because everyone is beautiful in their own unique way. I am so blessed to be able to have this business and make an impact on people’s lives and to have such an amazing team who are just as passionate as I am. We are so grateful for all the amazing brides who have trusted us with their wedding day look. I am constantly working to improve my business/brand to provide the best possible experience for my customers and team. I am grateful for all my customers and team who have helped make my business successful.
I am so proud of the business I have built and am excited to see what the future holds. I am dedicated to providing my clients with the best possible service, and my team and I are committed to making each bride look and feel her best on her wedding day.

No, starting any business, there are always bumps in the road. There are always struggles – financial, social media, imposter syndrome; you name it, I’m sure it’s happened to us.

I like to take risks! Taking a risk means having the courage and confidence to go after something you want, even if it’s scary or uncertain. I believe in taking calculated risks, which means I weigh out all possible outcomes before making my decision. Taking risks is essential for personal growth and success and has been a key factor in my life. One of my biggest risks was when I decided to invest in a business coach. I had limited resources and a lot of fear, but I knew that having someone with experience to guide me would be invaluable. It was a major financial risk but paid off in the end. I now have the knowledge and confidence to run my own business! Risk-taking is an important skill for living life to the fullest. There’s the potential for failure whenever you take a risk, but if you stay focused on your goal and make educated decisions, taking risks can open up limitless opportunities. It takes courage to take risks, but if you believe in yourself, anything is possible! Always remember that fear is just an illusion, and taking risks is a great way to prove it. So don’t be afraid to take a risk and unlock your true potential!
