Hi Rodney, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
My journey really started with a mindset around ownership and building something meaningful. The idea of creating long-term value has always driven me, not just for myself, but for my family and the people around me. Early on, I was involved in various ventures, from real estate to transportation, learning how to move, manage people, and build something from the ground up.
Luxury Executive Rides emerged from recognizing a market gap. I saw that most transportation services focused on just getting people from point A to point B. Still, there wasn’t enough emphasis on the experience, professionalism, and level of detail that high-end clients actually expect. That’s where we decided to step in and do things differently.
We built LER with a focus on luxury, reliability, and presence. From the way our vehicles are presented to how our chauffeurs carry themselves, everything is intentional. Whether we’re working with executives, athletes, or special events, the goal is always the same: to deliver an experience that feels seamless, elevated, and memorable.
We started small, learning as we went, building relationships, and reinvesting into the business. Over time, we’ve positioned ourselves as a premium service in Kansas City, and we’re continuing to grow by staying consistent, improving our systems, and focusing on the client experience above all else.
Right now, we’re focused on scaling the brand, expanding our reach, and becoming the go-to luxury transportation service not just locally, but in multiple markets. This is just the beginning for us.
I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
It definitely hasn’t been a smooth road. One of the biggest challenges has been just getting things off the ground and staying consistent, especially in the beginning. When you’re building something from scratch, you’re wearing a lot of hats at once, handling bookings, managing drivers, making sure the vehicles are right, and still trying to grow the business at the same time.
Another challenge has been learning how to position ourselves as a true luxury service. It’s one thing to have nice vehicles, but it’s another, actually, to deliver a high-end experience every time. That took time, trial and error, and really paying attention to the details.
We’ve also had to navigate cash flow, build clients’ trust in a newer brand, and figure out what works best for marketing and pricing. Not every move works the first time, and I’ve had to adjust a lot along the way.
But overall, those challenges have helped me grow. They’ve made me more disciplined, more aware of the business, and more focused on doing things the right way. I’ve learned that consistency and relationships go a long way in this industry.

Luxury Executive Rides is a premium chauffeur service based in Kansas City. We specialize in providing high-end transportation for clients who expect more than just a ride, including executives, athletes, and anyone who values professionalism and a smooth experience.
What we’re really known for is the experience. From how the vehicle looks when it pulls up to how the chauffeur presents themselves to how we handle communication, everything is intentional. We take pride in being on time, prepared, and ensuring the client doesn’t have to think about anything once they book with us.
What sets us apart is the attention to detail and how personal we make it. A lot of companies treat it like a basic service, but for us, it’s about how the client feels. I’m most proud of how we’ve grown through relationships and word of mouth. That tells me we’re doing something right, because people trust us enough to come back and refer others.

Is there any advice you’d like to share with our readers who might just be starting out?
I would say don’t overthink it—just start. A lot of people wait until everything is perfect, but you really learn by doing. You’re going to make mistakes either way, so you might as well start early and learn as you go.
Another thing is stay consistent, even when it feels like nothing is happening. In the beginning, it can feel slow or like you’re not getting the results you want, but that’s part of the process. Most of the growth comes from just showing up and putting in the work over time.
I also wish I understood earlier how important relationships are. A lot of opportunities don’t come from ads or marketing—they come from people. How you treat people, how you show up, and how reliable you are really matters.
And lastly, focus on doing things the right way, not the fast way. It’s easy to chase quick money, but building something solid takes time. If you stay patient and keep improving, it’ll pay off.
