Today we’d like to introduce you to Lindsey Cash.
Hi Lindsey, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
I worked at Sammy’s Tavern 1 night a week and absolutely fell in love with the place. It has such a rich history and some of the coolest regulars ever. I ended up buying the bar with my husband 8 years ago. We have built it into something super diverse, a place where you feel like family.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
We have been through some tough times, but nothing has stopped our dreams. Covid really hurt us but it hurt everyone.

Sammy’s Tavern is a dive bar located in the heart of Strawberry Hill, it has been around since the 1940’s. We are surrounded by several other really cool bars and great places to eat. We have regulars that have been coming for decades! We serve up some killer cocktails that won’t break the bank. Monday-Friday you can come enjoy our famous Happy Hour Pull tabs, you could get your drink for $1! Oh and you definitely don’t want to miss out on our house special, our Apple Pie Hill Shine!
What was your favorite childhood memory?
Growing up I loved to explore the woods, my brothers and my little sister and I would go walk the creeks for hours. We would build forts and catch crawdads, just being able to be young and outdoors with my siblings is such a memory that will last a lifetime.
