Hi Linda, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself.
I was born and raised in a small village in Kenya. As a sheltered kid, I had the luxury of attending a private school and wearing all the fashionable clothes that were in style at the time. However, my life took a drastic turn when I lost my mum at 12. Suddenly, I was forced to grow up quickly and become the responsible adult for my three younger siblings while my elder sister was away at boarding school. Being the second born of five sisters, I had to step up and take on responsibilities far beyond my years. My dad would only come home on weekends due to the long distance from his workplace. It was a challenging experience but it shaped me into who I am today. I learned to be a leader, a creative thinker, a risk-taker, and, most importantly, a forward thinker. Through my experiences, I held leadership positions as a student leader and worked in supervisory roles. These opportunities prepared me for my latest venture, my fourth entrepreneurial venture. I moved to the United States to pursue a Master’s degree in Business Administration focusing on marketing. I wanted to increase my exposure as a marketing professional and build my career in the field. I now call Kansas City my home, and I’ve grown to love everything this city offers, including the Kansas City Chiefs. Recently, I launched my company, Cradle Identity LLC. At Cradle Identity, we match local businesses in Kansas and Missouri with local influencers we verify ourselves. It’s been an exciting journey, and I look forward to seeing where it takes me.
You wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey has been a fairly smooth road?
The most significant hurdle I’ve faced when embarking on any business venture is determining the ideal product or service offerings and pricing them in a way that provides maximum value to our clients. However, I have gained valuable insights into the importance of remaining adaptable and agile in implementing changes to address these challenges.
As you know, we’re big fans of Cradle Identity LLC. What can you tell our readers who might need to be more familiar with the brand?
Our goal is to help businesses increase their exposure and reach by partnering with influencers who have a strong following and can help promote their products or services to a wider audience. We aim to help businesses grow and thrive in the competitive digital landscape by providing a comprehensive suite of services. At Cradle Identity LLC, we match local businesses in Kansas and Missouri with local influencers. We take the time to personally verify all the influencers to ensure they are a good fit for their businesses. At the same time, we aim to help influencers monetize their social media presence by connecting them with businesses that align with their values and interests. We also offer various other services, including social media management, digital marketing, competitor analysis, and social media audits.
What matters most to you? Why?
My 4-year-old son is the person that matters to me most in this world. He is the light of my life and the center of my universe. Everything I do, I do for him. His laughter is like music to my ears, and his innocent curiosity about the world around him fills me with wonder. Watching him grow and learn new things daily is a privilege and a joy I cherish with all my heart. I am constantly in awe of his boundless energy, infectious smile, and sweet and loving nature. He has a heart full of kindness and a spirit that never gives up. Being his parent is challenging and rewarding, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. He has taught me more about love, patience, and perseverance than I ever thought possible. He is the person that matters to me most, and I am grateful for every moment I get to spend with him.
