Exploring Life & Business with Lauren Coffey of The Waxing Abode

Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Coffey.

Hi Lauren, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, let’s briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today.
I have been an esthetician for 16 years, and I originally got into this industry because I struggled with my skin my whole life, and I wanted to be able to help people with the same issues I had. Waxing was my passion; from very early on, I wanted to open a waxing studio. In August 2020, that dream became the best reality, and I opened The Waxing Abode!

Can you talk to us about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned? Looking back, has it been easy or smooth in retrospect?
The hardest part along the way was wanting clients to flow through the door the minute I opened it, but that’s different from how it works. I spent months getting my name out there and had so many days of feeling discouraged, thinking, “What did I get myself into?” But day after day, month after month, they started coming. And not only coming but returning. 3 years later, they’re still here! Plus, many more!

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about The Waxing Abode?
I own a waxing studio specializing in Brazilians but offer all-body waxing. I also offer lash lifts, brow lamination, and intimate skin lightening. Plus, I have some new services in the works! Brazilians are my specialty! My goal is to make sure you’re comfortable and love the results of your wax. You’ll never want to shave again once you start!

Can you share something surprising about yourself?
I have 5 kids and a ton of animals 2 dogs, 2 hairless cats, chickens, turkeys & quail! Our house is a zoo! I love to fish, especially salt water, and I want to get my captain’s license.
