Exploring Life & Business with Kurt Jensen of Kessinger Hunter

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kurt Jensen.

Hi Kurt, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I grew up in Leawood, KS and attended the University of Missouri in Columbia, Missouri for my undergrad. Following graduation, I made the decision to plug back into Kansas City and go to work with my father, Dan Jensen, at Kessinger Hunter, a full-service commercial real estate company in Kansas City. I am very invested in Kansas City as the community has been so great to me. I am dedicated to giving back into the community as I can!

I’m sure you wouldn’t say it’s been obstacle free, but so far would you say the journey have been a fairly smooth road?
It has been a pretty smooth road for the most part! Certainly have had my ups and downs, and there are learning curves when it comes to working on a daily basis with close family members, but the time invested in my young career has paid off. I have been very fortunate to have the support and mentorship that Kessinger Hunter and the Kansas City community offer.

We’ve been impressed with Kessinger Hunter, but for folks who might not be as familiar, what can you share with them about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We are the oldest full-service commercial real estate company in Kansas City, established in 1879. The company has thrived on building time-tested relationships through working for our clients first. At the end of the day, the more success our clients have the more they will continue to trust us with their real estate decisions. The thing I am most proud of when it comes to our brand is the integrity and passion we operate with on a daily basis. Not only do we have great pride in being great at what we do, but we like doing things the right way.
