Today we’d like to introduce you to Francesca Ferguson.
Hi Francesca , so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
I’ve always loved being a stay-at-home wife and mom of three — but one day it hit me that life was moving fast, and soon my kids would all be in school. I started asking myself, “Okay, what’s next for me?”
I come from a family of entrepreneurs — Belfonte Ice Cream and Premier Car Wash — so I grew up watching my dad build things from the ground up. I guess that drive was sitting in me all along, just waiting for the right time to show up.
My husband and I decided it was now or never, so I took a chance on something I’d always dreamed of: my own women’s boutique. I wanted something that let me still be me — a mom who’s at every field trip, school party, and doctor’s appointment — while building something I could truly be proud of.
The catch? I had to be my own model, because scheduled photoshoots just aren’t realistic when you’re working around kids and real life. Cue every insecurity I’ve ever had. But then I thought about my daughters — and how I want them to see courage, not perfection. So I started pushing those insecurities aside, learning everything from YouTube and ChatGPT, and building Fonti Collections from my husband’s old office in the basement.
Now, I run my boutique on my own terms — with seasonal drops that let me be fully present with my family and still chase this dream. It’s not always pretty or perfect, but it’s real — and that’s exactly how I like it.
Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
Has it been a smooth road? Absolutely not! From the moment I launched, it felt like life wanted to test how bad I really wanted this. My kids took turns getting sick — sometimes all at once — and about a month after launching, my husband started his own mortgage company, Crown Mortgage. Just when we thought we were finally finding our groove, we had some house issues and ended up moving in with my parents for a month.
Even my last pop-up event wasn’t safe — three of my clothing racks broke mid-event! Honestly, I feel like “struggles” is just the theme of this season of life. If I get through a photo week without someone sick, it feels like a miracle.
There are definitely moments where I wonder if I started too soon, but then I remind myself that every challenge builds strength and character. These little setbacks keep me grounded — and somehow, through all the chaos, we keep making it work.

Fonti Collections is an online women’s boutique built on keeping things real. As women, we go through so many different seasons of life, and sometimes it feels like we start to lose ourselves in the mix. I wanted to create a space that reminds women they’re still beautiful, confident, and capable — even in the middle of the chaos.

What matters most to you?
What matters most to me is showing up with authenticity — as a mom, a wife, and a business owner. Life isn’t perfect, and I never want to pretend it is. I want women to see that you can chase your dreams, make mistakes, pivot, and still be proud of who you are.
At the end of the day, if FONTI makes even one woman feel more confident, seen, or beautiful in her own skin, then I’ve done what I set out to do. That’s what matters most to me.
