Alright, so thank you so much for sharing your story and insight with our readers. To kick things off, can you tell us a bit about how you got started?
I began my journey as an Assistant Home Concierge for a luxury property management service in Dallas, TX. I was quickly promoted into the position of Director of Maintenance Operations for a new service model, which involved day to day maintenance of each of the 100+ properties, overseeing handyman services, and promoting a higher level of client retention/satisfaction than had been seen previously.
I quickly fell in love with the work, as each home or property presented unique challenges and learning opportunities. While we were learning the skills and techniques needed to run this new branch of the company, my wife and I were also looking into relocating to a new city. We finally decided that Kansas City would become our new home. After nearly two years of planning, we finally made the move to Kansas City in September of 2025.
With some encouragement from the leadership over my previous position in Dallas, my wife and I decided to begin our own property management service called Hearthstone Home Concierge. Our mission is to bring peace of mind to property and project management. In an industry that is plagued by substandard work and lack of accountability, we are working to bring a unique level of trust and confidence to each of our clients.
From home improvement oversight, to regular inspection walkthroughs and vacation house checks, we offer to shoulder most of the burden of managing your residence or residential property. We offer one point of contact for all the work that needs to be done at your property. We provide local handyman and 24/7 emergency services for things that crop up in the day to day of home ownership.
Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has been fairly smooth going so far! We have the struggles that any new business would have; sometimes with a steep learning curve which is made a little steeper due to our recent relocation to Kansas City, but we are up for a challenge!
One of the main hurdles we will continue working to overcome is that few people are aware that a service like Hearthstone exists. Many people think of property management only in the context of commercial apartment complexes and things of that nature, and have no idea that they can have affordable property management for their individual homes as well.

Are there any books, apps, podcasts or blogs that help you do your best?
Yes!
One of my favorite books is called Living Featless by Jamie Winship. It is more of a book on self reflection than business, but it has helped shape how I want to approach business and professional development.
My wife and I are also followers of Christ, and live our lives personally and professionally according to the Bible.
