Today we’d like to introduce you to Cierra Dillard.
Hi Cierra, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
My journey into owning my own practice really grew out of a lifelong passion for health and wellness and helping people feel their best. I began my nursing career in 2002 working in pediatric care before earning my Family Nurse Practitioner degree in 2009. After becoming a nurse practitioner, I gained experience in urgent care and later worked alongside a geriatrician which allowed me to see healthcare across the full lifespan. Those experiences shaped my approach to patient care and deepened my interest in prevention, longevity and quality of life- not just treating illness.
Personally i’ve been passionate about fitness, nutrition and overall wellness even competing in several fitness competitions. This passion eventually led me to pursue advanced training and certifications in hormone optimization, peptide therapy and medical weight management.
Starting my own business wasn’t originally part of my plan. As a working mom of three with a full-time career entrepreneurship felt overwhelming. But as I began helping patients through word of mouth the demand grew! What started small turned into my own practice two years ago and the last year expanded significantly. Today I am grateful to combine my medical experience with my passion for wellness to help patients feel confident energized and in control of their health.
We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
It definitely hasn’t been a completely smooth road. One of the biggest challenges was learning the business side of healthcare while still working a full time job and being a mom. In the beginning I started with telehealth services, which came with its own learning curve and finding the right location to eventually open ElevateRx. Like any new business there were moments of uncertainty, but each challenge has helped me grow and become more confident as both a provider and business owner.
