Exploring Life & Business with Ashley Pratt of Ash-thetics

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Pratt.

Hi Ashley, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstory.
I began my career in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) taking care of the tiniest most critical patients. I expanded my skills at a Level 1 trauma center performing procedures and caring for both adults and kids in the Emergency Department. I learned to work with medications and injections with precision and accuracy over the years. Medical Aesthetics has always been a field of interest to me. My husband is a physician and entrepreneur and encouraged me to pursue my dream. After getting trained by some of the best in the business, I launched Ash-thetics my medical aesthetics company. I have a quest for knowledge and learn more every day. My goal with Ash-thetics is provide each client with the best outcomes in a safe concierge environment. I want to empower people to look and feel their best.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
I think my biggest obstacle and challenge is learning how to market and use social media for business. This was all new to me and I never needed to use these skills in my acute care career.

Great, so let’s talk business. Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
There are several businesses and people doing medical aesthetics and the number is growing every day. Many have just taken a course or class and started injecting. I have developed a tremendous network of mentors in the field of medical aesthetics and resources to help me continue to get better and learn.

We are concierge. Consultation is key. I spend a tremendous amount of time consulting with patients and finding out what they want and what experiences they have had with medical aesthetics. I listen and together we come up with a treatment plan that fits their needs.

Have you learned any interesting or important lessons due to the Covid-19 Crisis?
Nothing is for certain. Never get complacent. Don’t be afraid to adapt and take a chance.
