Today we’d like to introduce you to Angela Lindvall.

Hi Angela, so excited to have you with us today. What can you tell us about your story?
My name is Angela Lindvall, and I grew up right here in Lee’s Summit, Missouri. At 17, I was given a life-changing opportunity to model in New York City. As a small-town tomboy with dirt under my nails and zero clue what the fashion industry even was, the chance to see the world beyond Missouri was thrilling—and I went for it. What followed was a whirlwind career that took me around the globe. I walked for nearly every major fashion house—Chanel, Prada, Versace, Louis Vuitton, Calvin Klein—and appeared on the covers of Vogue, Elle, and Harper’s Bazaar.

But while modeling opened incredible doors, it wasn’t my passion. I was always drawn to philosophy, spirituality, ancient cultures, and the deeper questions of life. I carried books with me everywhere, seeking something more meaningful beneath the surface of appearances.

Eventually, that search led me inward.

At 19, I launched The Collage Foundation, a nonprofit promoting environmental awareness through pop culture and media. Becoming a mother at 23 shifted everything again—bringing me deeper into what truly mattered. The sudden loss of my sister a few years later shook me to my core. It woke me up to the fragility of life and set me firmly on a path of healing, purpose, and inner work.

I realized my self-worth wasn’t tied to my external image—it was something cultivated from within. That’s what ultimately led me to create Peace Begins In Me.

Can you talk to us a bit about the challenges and lessons you’ve learned along the way. Looking back would you say it’s been easy or smooth in retrospect?
When I first launched Peace Begins In Me in California, we had just started building momentum with in-person gatherings and teen workshops—then the pandemic hit. Everything shut down. Like many small businesses, we had to put our offerings on hold.

I tried pivoting online, recording video content and building a website, but the timing was tough. The collective energy was heavy, uncertain, divided.

And yet, that time also clarified my purpose. I saw more than ever how much people were craving connection, peace, and inner strength—especially youth struggling with mental health, anxiety, and disconnection.

So, after relocating back to my roots in Kansas City, I’ve relaunched Peace Begins In Me here—creating sacred spaces for community healing, inner alignment, and personal growth. Now more than ever, this work feels vital.

Peace Begins In Me is a wellness platform, a spiritual community, and a space for transformation—offering workshops, events, online classes, and one-on-one coaching.
