Exploring Life & Business with Alyssa Aldana of A. Aldana Fashion

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alyssa Aldana.

Hi Alyssa, we’d love for you to start by introducing yourself
I’ve always been interested in fashion since I was a little girl. I used my clothes as a way to express myself since I was always so shy. I decided to go to Johnson county community college, where I graduated with an associate’s degree in Fashion Design & Technology in 2020. I was working at Title Boxing Gym when the Covid pandemic started but unfortunately, we had to close permanently so I was left unemployed. While I was quarantined at home, I decided I wanted to start something where I can be my own boss and won’t have to worry about being left unemployed again. I decided opening an online boutique would be perfect for my love of fashion and being able to do it from home. I didn’t know much about running a business when I started but I am learning every day and having so much fun doing it. Right now A. Aldana Fashion provides a variety of styles from loungewear to cocktail dresses from lots of different brands. As my boutique is gradually growing I would like to soon incorporate my own designs as well as men’s clothing.

We all face challenges, but looking back would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Starting a business in the middle of a pandemic is definitely a struggle alone when people are not going out as much or spending money. It has also been hard having a full-time job and running a business but I have had a lot of support from family and friends who always share my business pages and purchase items which keeps me motivated to keep on working at it to grow my business even more.

A. Aldana Fashion is a woman’s online boutique that has a variety of styles from lots of different brands. We offer Woman’s tops, bottoms, dresses, loungewear, swimwear, & accessories. I am in the process of launching my own exclusive designs that will only be available at aaldanafashion.com. I try to constantly add new items so I encourage everyone to follow A. Aldana Fashion on social media to be updated on new arrivals and sales. I am also working on having a men’s clothing collection added very soon, my goal is to have a boutique that men and women can shop at for any occasion.

What does success mean to you?
My idea of success is not how big your company is but how great it is. Every customer I have, I want them to be able to say they are happy with their purchase and will purchase from me again. I strive to be able to provide great quality items at an affordable price and give the best customer service I can to each and every person. I may not have a very large following yet but I already feel successful in having people who genuinely support me and share it because they believe in me and my business. I love hearing feedback from people who have bought items from me that say they love the outfit they got and can’t wait to wear it or seeing their pictures of them wearing their new items. I do hope my business does continue to grow and can make even more people happy.
