Today we’d like to introduce you to Allissa Stacker.

Hi Allissa, thanks for sharing your story with us. To start, maybe you can tell our readers some of your backstories.
Okay. Well, I have always wanted to be a mortician. I was told I needed my esthetician license beforehand. I went and enrolled in school. I was a young single mom, so I worked overnights and attended school Tuesday-Saturday. Boy, was it the hardest 7 months? I spent 7 months learning all about skincare. I graduated and passed all state board tests! I instantly fell in love with all things skincare related. My love grew deeper for this industry, so I started introducing lashes. My daughter Amari was by my side through this process, so AA Aesthetics was born. (Allissa and Amari Aesthetics) we are so excited to see where this journey takes us and would love you have you follow along!

Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not, what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
If owning a business were easy, then everyone would be doing it. Most definitely, not! It was a lot of trial and error. Some days you’re making great money, and some days you may not even make a dollar. I must remind myself to keep pushing, continue to post daily (I sure struggle with this a lot), be consistent, and never give up.

Appreciate you sharing that. What should we know about AA Aesthetics LLC?
I’m a licensed esthetician. I offer skincare treatments, such as chemical peels, facials, body waxing, lash extensions, and tooth gems. My specialty is lash extensions and dermplane facials. I think constantly learning and having an open mind in this industry sets me apart from others. I’m always a student. You can never learn too much. I also take my time learning from my clients. I like to understand my client’s wants and needs. This helps me provide top-notch service to everyone who walks through the door!

Where we are in life is often partly because of others. Who/what else deserves credit for how your story turned out?
I have a huge support team. This definitely wouldn’t have been possible without them. First and foremost, my daughter Amari, I did this all for her. We sacrificed a lot of time together so I could push through and finish this. Now we get to spend so much time together! It was worth it doing this while she was younger vs. now. My mother, Melissa, my #1 supporter through this- when I wanted to give up, she stood right there pushing me to the finish line, constantly helping my daughter when I needed it, and emotionally being available. So often wanted to give up, and she wouldn’t let me. I’m so thankful for that! My aunt Amanda threw me a business shower, which helped get my name out there. Whenever I want to practice, she’s the first in line. Lol, she’s always bringing me new opportunities. So, I never officially had like a mentor. But I did have a family friend, Adrian Esparza. I guess you could say he’s a mentor. He also is a small business owner. He gives me lots of advice when I feel stuck and don’t know what to do; he helps get my name out there and is always there for me. I also owe it to my friends; they were there every step of the way. Late-night studying/ practicing, helping me get my business up and going. I was just a helping hand and listening ear. I think it would be impossible to build a business with just one person, don’t get me wrong, I did all the work; I made this from the ground up. It just wouldn’t be possible without my support people, listening to my crazy ideas, and being available when I needed it the most. I love them!
