Today we’d like to introduce you to Allison Moses.
Hi Allison, please kick things off for us with an introduction to yourself and your story.
In 2017 one day I was just done with my life and that current path I was on. It seemed the more I tired to make others around me happy – the further I got away from self. I surrendered and started setting small goals and living for my daughter and I. Gave myself time to really face shadows and past life experienices that I was holding onto and keeping me stuck and living in quicksand, by going within and really feeling and recognizing patterns and refacing it – each and every time – till it felt be lighter. I don’t think that we heal completely, it does tend to get lighter as you survive the waves of emotions. It wasn’t easy and at times I times I even thought I was a little crazy, some days – it was easier to live “unawake” – I say this because no one understood what I was doing internally and they shouldn’t. This was a road I had to take alone, no distractions – just me and self. I said “I was going to give “myself” back 10 years of lost that time” and I did, this past June 2026 was 10 years from June 2016.
Confident Beatdown was created to keep me aligned with who I wanted to become. For I already knew who I didn’t want to be. It wasn’t easy or understood by many. I was judged before I started this journey, I got to the point I have nothing left to lose and when you have nothing to lose, you have no fears, just hope. So I turned all that pain into power and only focused forward.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
Smooth, definitely not. Alot of tears, worry, and fear of the uncertainty. High levels of stress and a little anxiety for them deadlines. But I learned quickly that, you will never miss out on something that is ment for you.
I jumped on applications I did not feel I was qualified for, showed up in rooms I felt way to small to be in, and I never gave up. Understood that the no’s along the way were the clues to the yes’es. I didn’t make excuses – I found solutions.

What were you like growing up?
Love this question, if you ask my mom… I was definitely the most difficult one – for I really had a mind of my own. She said I wasn’t bad, I was just “stubborn”. But in all fairness, I remember being told I was an old soul. I am the youngest of 3, I have an older sister Amanda and the oldest is my brother Tim.
I was the child that really did whatever I wanted. Nothing bad, just fearless. You would find me getting dressed up in my moms clothes, grab her purse and I would walk down to the local 7-Eleven to buy some candy, at age 4, all by myself. Had imaginary cat, dog and friends. My mom would often have to leave the store, cause I would cause a scene for her not buying them food. I had some hearing issues and that caused delay and troubles with my speech, it wasn’t till 4th grade almost got held back a year. Did speech thearpy an hour before and after school everyday for the rest of the school year. Really struggled with my “R’s” most people would ask me to talk just to see what I would say aloud and thankfully I have a lot of wit, even at a young age and loved to make people laugh. But I remember enjoying playing school, its how I would enjoy studying and doing my homework – without doing my homework. Summer before 5th grade was all about reading I loved The Babysitters Club series. Around age 8, I started babysitting for my neighbors and would save up for our family summer vacations to the beach.
Also was in girl scouts, dance, tap and jazz. Took some modeling classes and stayed pretty involved in something growing up.
My dad’s job in the Secret Service moved our family to Kansas my freshman year of high school in 1995 from Herndon, Virginia. Which is right outside of Washington D.C. area. What I miss most from living there, is only being 8 hours to the beach.
That move was pretty tough for being 15, but I made friends pretty quickly and adjusted to the change best we could. It was summer of my sophmore year I got really sick, my parents had just left town to go buy some plants in Kentucky, and that night I got really sick was rushed to hospital. They told my siblings to call my parents, they needed to return I would not make it through the night. I ended up being transferred to Childrens Mercy was there for 6 week with kidney and bladder issues, which I have always struggled with throughout my life.
I attended Blue Valley Northwest, enjoyed school but really went to hang out with my friends. Ended up graudating a year early – just to get out. In, 1999 started college classes my what would’ve been senior year. Didn’t really take any of it serious and ended up dropping all my classes and didn’t go back till I was older and had more sucess in Business Management and Accounting at local community college.
Over the years I was very fournate and held various jobs in several industries, learned from some of the best of leaders who taught and trained me over the years. Not all makeup. From starting out as receptionist for mangement of aerospace and casinos, to upper management roles in production, construction, property management, mailhouse and marketing to all the smaller jobs in between that gave me hands on experiences I needed today.
