Exploring Life & Business with Alexis Johnson of I own multiple businesses

Today we’d like to introduce you to Alexis Johnson.

Hi Alexis, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
I started my journey as a mom and entrepreneur the moment I had my son at 17 years old. Becoming a mother at a young age shifted everything for me—it gave me purpose, drive, and a deep desire to create stability, flexibility, and a life I was proud of for my family. I’ve always been creative, but motherhood is what truly shaped the path I chose.

What began as picking up a camera to capture moments for my own children grew into a photography business as others began trusting me to tell their stories. As I continued building multiple businesses—including photography, social media, owning an Airbnb, and working within fitness and health—I gained firsthand experience in what it truly takes to grow and sustain a brand.

Being a business owner across different industries made me realize how powerful visibility, relationships, and consistency are in today’s digital world. Through growing my own brands, I saw how social media and network marketing can have a huge impact on business success when done intentionally. That realization sparked my passion for helping other businesses thrive by guiding them through social media strategy, relationship-based marketing, and authentic online presence.

Now at 30 years old and married, I’m deeply committed to personal development, growth, and becoming the best version of myself—not just for my businesses, but for my family and community. I believe in showing up better than yesterday, continuously learning, and evolving into a woman who leads with confidence, faith, and purpose. A podcast is coming soon, where I’ll be sharing real, honest conversations around motherhood, entrepreneurship, fitness and health, personal growth, and building a life with intention

I’m sure it wasn’t obstacle-free, but would you say the journey has been fairly smooth so far?
No, it hasn’t been a smooth road—and I don’t believe it’s meant to be. Becoming a mom at 17 came with real challenges, from growing up quickly to balancing responsibility, self-doubt, and financial pressure at a young age. I had to learn who I was while also learning how to raise a child, build stability, and trust myself when the path wasn’t always clear.

As I began building my businesses, I faced many struggles common to entrepreneurship—limited resources, fear of failure, burnout, and learning everything through trial and error. Balancing motherhood, marriage, multiple businesses, and personal growth often meant late nights, hard decisions, and choosing long-term vision over short-term comfort.

One of the biggest strengths along the way has been my husband. As a lineman, he understands discipline, long hours, and goal-setting at a high level. He has always supported me and consistently sets goals with me, pushing us to think bigger, stay focused, and work as a team. Having a partner who believes in growth, accountability, and shared vision has made even the hardest seasons manageable.

The challenges shaped my resilience and mindset. Every obstacle taught me adaptability, consistency, and the importance of staying grounded in purpose. The road hasn’t been easy, but it’s been worth it—and it’s the reason I’m so passionate about growth, both personally and professionally.

Thanks for sharing that. So, maybe next you can tell us a bit more about your business?
I own and operate multiple businesses across photography, social media, fitness and health, and short-term rental real estate. At the core of everything I do is helping people and businesses grow through visibility, connection, and intentional branding. I specialize in storytelling—whether that’s through photography, social media strategy, or helping brands show up authentically online in a way that builds trust and long-term relationships.

What sets me apart is that I don’t just teach strategy—I live it. I’ve built and scaled my own businesses using social media and relationship-based marketing, which gives me real-world experience and results-driven insight. I’m known for being hands-on, relatable, and community-focused, helping other business owners understand that growth doesn’t come from algorithms alone, but from consistency, connection, and genuine engagement.

What I’m most proud of brand-wise is building businesses that allow flexibility, impact, and presence—especially as a mom and wife—while also empowering others to believe they can do the same. I want readers to know that my brands are rooted in growth, authenticity, and purpose. Whether I’m offering photography services, social media guidance, fitness and health support, or hosting through my Airbnb, my goal is always the same: to help others thrive while building a life with intention.

Alright, so to wrap up, is there anything else you’d like to share with us?
f there’s one thing I’d love readers to take away, it’s that your starting point doesn’t define your future. Growth is possible at any stage of life when you’re willing to stay consistent, learn, and believe in yourself. I’m passionate about building community, supporting other women and entrepreneurs, and showing that success can be built through connection, authenticity, and intentional action.

You can follow along with my journey on social media, where I share real life, business growth, fitness and health, and personal development. I always welcome genuine connections and conversations, and I’m grateful for every opportunity to inspire and be inspired.
