Today we’d like to introduce you to Wax Dabby. Them and their team share their story with us below:
Wax Dabby started as a group of friends who are creatives. In 2016, after some fun nights and many recordings the label was formed with artist 900 Bill, Ty the Pheonix, and Industry Sounds Engineer/Artist Jeice Laurent.
While continuing to make their unique stamp on this KC music scene the creative trio has released mixtapes and music videos surpassing 150,000 streams.
Theirs a large size of inspiration that everyone feels when they encounter anybody from the collective. While new music is being created they’re also creating positive change in everything they encounter. Spreading the love with music and good vibes Wax Dabby is an energy feeling displayed through audio art.
Would you say it’s been a smooth road, and if not what are some of the biggest challenges you’ve faced along the way?
It hasn’t always been a smooth road, as an artist, you’ll make songs that don’t hit for months sometimes years. As a label, the hardest part was finding a videographer that would work with the starting budget… alot of calls were not returned.
Can you tell our readers more about what you do and what you think sets you apart from others?
Wax Dabby is a creative collection that promotes a feeling of enlightenment and sensation you get diverse sounds from artists like 900 Bill who is a gaming hip-hop artist, he streams on Twitch, Facebook, and YouTube as Lil3rdparty, even previews some songs or recording sessions.
Ty the Pheonix is the sound of the street, and we mean real down-to-earth connection vibes. You’ll do best to keep your eye on the birdie Ty The Pheonix cause he drops bonus content, and has the gamers lit.
Jeice Laurent is the Jack of All Trades as he records, produces and engineers definitely one of KCs most talented individuals having master engineer skills he engineered the first 3 mixtapes released by the collective
(Make a Wish-900 Bill. Keep your eye on the birdie -Ty The Pheonix. Love, Laurent – JeiceLaurent).
What do you think about luck?
We don’t think the role of luck has played in our life’s really yet.
If we had struck some good luck we’d probably have some more billboards up with anybody reading this wearing the merch. Can’t say we’ve hit bad luck either cause we’re still thriving and vibing on all streaming platforms.
