My name is Tammy Alao, and I’m an experienced travel/ event planner, avid traveler, and founder of EscapewithTammyEvents, a travel and event planning business based in Kansas City. I was born in Nigeria but relocated to the United States 17 years ago. As the pioneer of this millennial travel/ event business, I am dedicated to delivering top-notch services at an affordable price guided by transparency and honesty. I have always loved planning events and traveling, so this seemed like a natural fit! I have had great success so far and am excited for what the future holds! I have personally been to 13 countries and 20 states, planning all the trips for myself, my family, and my friends. This is why I started my travel/event planning business in August 2023. With EscapewithTammyEvents, these aren’t just daydreams; they’re possibilities waiting to be embraced. We’ll handle the logistics, from booking flights and accommodations to planning excursions and creating personalized itineraries. You focus on creating memories that will last a lifetime.

We all face challenges, but looking back, would you describe it as a relatively smooth road?
Launching EscapewithTammyEvents has been a whirlwind! Juggling family, building a business, and marketing my unique travel/event services is no easy feat, but every challenge has been a valuable lesson. With my husband’s unwavering support, I’m paving the way for unforgettable adventures for my clients.

If we knew you growing up, how would we have described you?
Growing up, I always organized gatherings and planned activities for friends and family. My personality has a blend of creativity and meticulousness, which naturally led me to pursue an event and travel planner career. Early on, I found joy in coordinating details and creating memorable experiences for others, setting the foundation for my current role in organizing and curating events and travel experiences.
